10 Amazing First Date Ideas That Will Guarantee You A Second Date

A first date makes most people nervous. You want to give the perfect first impression and doing so isn’t always that easy. Though the place isn’t as important as the person, it can help ease the tension and help score at least a second date. When it comes to first dates I would generally advise doing something that involves movement, or in other words not just sitting around. Moving around helps facilitate conversation and can provide alternative points of focus. Here are 10 first date ideas that are sure to give you another date.

1. Mini-Golf:

Mini-Golf is seasonal but is always a hit. Who doesn’t love a round of mini-golf on a warm night? Keep score but don’t take it too seriously. A scorecard is a perfect souvenir to remember a great night by.

2. Bowling:

For some odd reason, bowling always arouses a great feeling of laughter, whether it stems from the clumsiness of slipping and sliding in bowling shoes or the ridiculous animations that pop onto the screen every time somebody gets a spare or a strike. Bowling is a great way to break the ice and let loose on a first date so that the built-up tension doesn’t overwhelm anyone.

3. Starry Night Walk:

Whether underneath the stars on the beach, on a snowy path, or anywhere in between, a walk is something that is often overlooked for a first date option. Walking and talking flow well together, and doing so outside eases any nervousness. Embrace the freedom and nature and see where the path leads you and your date. After a long walk, you’ll surely have discovered a lot about your date and will definitely be in a position of knowing whether or not a second date is coming soon.

4. Going Out For Ice-Cream:

Going out for ice-cream is a quick trip so feel free to pair it with something else, however, is a perfect way to end a great first date. Ice-Cream has the power to put anyone in a good mood and will most definitely leave a positive impression going home after your first date.

5. Hiking:

If you’re looking to stand out on a first date, hiking will definitely do so, but make sure your date is up for the trip. Although it may be physically exerting, enjoying a picnic with a beautiful view from the top of a mountain will be memorable and will surely show your date your adventurous side.

6. Swimming:

Pool, lake, or ocean; Whatever it may be, swimming makes almost anyone happy, especially on a warm day. Chill and talk, splash around or swim a few laps. The refreshing feeling of water will ease any tension and will make talking with your date feel easier.

7. Concert:

A concert may be a bit hectic and loud, but with the right musician makes a great spot for a first date. Let loose, enjoy the music, dance around, and reflect on your good times on the way home. A concert is always a memorable experience and taking your date to a concert for a first date will set you apart from the ordinary.

8. Ice Skating:

Just like mini-golf, skating is seasonal but is always a fun time. If you are able to, go to an outdoor rink. It can be a tad bit colder but makes for a more intimate and unique experience. While skating it is easy to converse and joke about falling over or slipping and will help you to secure another date.

9. Trampoline Park:

No matter what age, a trampoline park will always be a fun spot for your first date. There’s little more satisfying than the feeling of jumping up and down on a trampoline, and that same joyful feeling should carry over onto your next date.

10. Picnic At The Beach:

The beach is one of the most romantic spots you can find so if there’s a beach near you, it may very well be the perfect spot for a first date. Pack a light dinner and a bottle of wine and watch the sun set over the gorgeous ocean.

Having a good time on your first date almost always determines whether or not there will be more dates to come. What are your favorite first date ideas? Comment below to let everyone know where they should go for a first date!
