All women are different, and to men we’re a whole other species. The thing about us is that we always have each other’s backs and we aren’t as complicated as men think we are. Yes, we all notice different things in men depending on what we look for, but overall, it all comes down to a few things.

At the end of the day, first impressions really do matter and you can’t take it back.

Here is what we first notice in men as told by a woman!

What He’s Wearing

Style is very important to a woman, because we are looking for someone who takes care of themselves and cares what they put on in the morning. Since we take care of ourselves not just for the sake of others, but for ourselves, we look for someone who puts time into their appearance.

Is he wearing a t-shirt during dinner? Why does he have a cross dangling from his ear? Is his hair supposed to be looking greasy?

At a certain point in our lives, we know exactly what type of man we’re into and we don’t beat around the bush.

So, when we notice someone’s style, we immediately dissect them to see if we are compatible.

Eyes And Smile

These are the two top things that women first notice in men.

When you first see someone, your eyes immediately dart to their eyes and smile. You can tell a lot about a person just by looking into their eyes. Are they wise? Is there sadness hidden in them?

Eyes really are a window into the soul and we are aware of how important it is. Feelings are mostly readable in the eyes of someone.

Not only that, but the eye colour of a man’s eyes are important, because we are attracted to certain eye colours. At first, we appeal towards our type. Of course, once you get to know someone, eyes don’t really matter after all.

In terms of smile, it needs to light up the room.

Physique

This list is already shallow, yes, but first impressions are all about appearances at the end of the day.

We really do notice what a man looks like when we lay eyes on them. Some of us are attracted to dad bods, some of us like a buff guy and some of us are interested in tall guys (well, who isn’t?). That physical attraction all comes down to outward appearances and it either blossoms into something more when you get to know someone, or it completely dries out.

Just as men notice what we look like, we notice every aspect of them, as well.

How He Treats Others

From waitstaff to customer service staff to other women, we pay attention to how a man behaves towards others, because it is a defining moment in his character.

If he is rude or has his nose turned up at everyone like a snob, then we are not interested. Some people may be attracted to that at first, but in the long run, we do not want a man who treats people around him like garbage.

He has to be respectful of the people around him just as much as he is trying to impress you.

How To Have And Maintain A Healthy Relationship

We see and pay attention to everything.

If He’s Funny

When a woman says things like “oh, he has to make me laugh” or “we have to have good banter”, we aren’t saying that just for the sake of saying it. We really do mean it.

We need someone to vibe off with and someone who has the same sense of humour as us, because at the end of the day, we are going to have conversations together.

We need a man who is playful just as much as he is serious.

Exhibit A would be like Pam and Jim from The Office. Even way into their marriage, they never stopped teasing each other and making each other laugh and that’s what we want.

What we notice in men varies, yet, hands is the one variable that is exactly the same for everyone.

We like clean hands with clean fingernails!! We love a man who can take care of themselves. We love a man who cleanses his body and face, moisturizes and even is interested in face masks! Toxic masculinity should not be a reason for men to not love themselves.
