Trends From The 2000s To Try

*Trends From The 2000s To Try

Trends from the 2000’s can honestly be pretty cringe at some points. Sometimes the trend was a total hit for that time or you look at it and just wonder why? But honestly, that can be said about any older trend. However, the 2000’s trends are iconic whether they were total cringe or total hits. Trends are even starting to make their way back to current times which can be nerve-wracking or super exciting for some. And, for the younger age, it’s fun to try out a trend that’s new to you but was loved and cherished by so many.

1. Von Dutch Trucker Hats

Von Dutch hats have absolutely made their way back to be a current trend so it only makes sense that you try this one out. The iconic Von Dutch hat is a trucker hat that comes in cool colors. A hat is a hat honestly. You will always need at least one so why not have it be a brand and trend that used to be popular? These hats come in so many fun colors and patterns that you’re sure to find one that suits you perfectly. Trucker hats will forever and always be a trend, it’s just the brand that sometimes changes. Buy some Von Dutch hats, it will not be anything you’ll ever regret.

2. Halter Tops

Halter tops are without a doubt one of the best tank tops that you could wear. They are so comfortable and sometimes it’s nice to have your shoulders free while still having some security that your top isn’t going to fall down. Halter top crop tops are a trend that needs to be tried, loved, and stays a trend forever. A halter top with a pair of jeans or shorts in the summer is truly unmatched. Plus, you can get some sunkissed shoulders while you wear them around. The only thing I’m seeing from this trend is comfort and happiness.

3. Juicy Couture Tracksuits

Juicy Couture. If you know, you know. These velour tracksuits were just built differently. The low rise pants some with pockets some with bedazzled words plastered on your bit. These sweats also fit perfectly on anyone who wore them, hugging you in the right places without leaving you feeling constricted. Plus, a matching jacket? Are you kidding me? Put on a Juicy tracksuit and tell me you don’t feel like you could rule the world. Juicy Couture is an iconic trend from the 2000s. This is something that if you haven’t tried it, first off, where have you been? Run, don’t walk to the nearest store you can buy one.

4. All Denim

Denim. Everything. Think Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, baby. This is iconic. It’s something that is used as Halloween costumes every year and it still slaps. So, why not make this a trend that people wear year-round? Denim on denim is a fashion crime like some are led to believe. It’s fun and different and it truly can be worn only once in a while. Plus, it feels like magic when you find two types of denim that match so you can wear it as an outfit. If you put on denim jeans and a jacket with a cute top underneath I promise you, you will fall in love. It’s so easy and if you get tired of the all denim vibe then take your jacket off and you still have a rockin’ outfit.

5. Yoga Pants

No, I’m not talking about Lululemon. I’m taking OG yoga pants that are now referred to as “flare yoga pants,” ouch. These were the first true loves of all girls who loved comfort but didn’t want to wear sweatpants all the time. If you’re a true yoga pants OG then you know about those Victoria Secret PINK bands, baby. Those colorful print bedazzled bands were something else. Getting a new pair was also an amazing feeling because you got to show them off at school the next day. If you really want to rock a 2000 trend that should be respected to this day, get yoga pants and Juicy Couture zip up. Live out those fantasies you once loved.

6. Bedazzled Denim

The 2000s were about rhinestones, let’s be honest with ourselves here. Anything that could have a rhinestone on it, had it. Sometimes things that were truly not meant to be sparkly were in fact sparkly. Embrace that memory you’ve tried to suppress. Denim covered in sparkles was a little questionable, but who did that stop? No one. Denim jackets or jeans were great items of clothing to put some random design or the brand’s logo in sparkles. Think True Religion or Rock and Republic. Those bedazzled jeans eans were staples in some people’s closets and there is absolutely no shame about that because they truly rocked. If you ever find a pair of jeans or a jacket that is bedazzled, don’t even question them. Buy them immediately.

7. Low Rise Jeans

Honestly, this is a trend strictly for the brave. You either love low-rise jeans or hate them. This is a trend that absolutely does not have an in-between. Low rise jeans are exactly what you expect, they sit below your belly button and can either make you feel like Paris Hilton or like Tina from Bob’s Burgers. I don’t make the rules here. While low-rise jeans are a great trend for the 2000s, it’s something some people don’t want to see fully become a trend again. However, that shouldn’t stop you from trying the trend yourself. Who knows, those low-rise jeans could become your favorite pair of pants.

8. Butterfly Clips

Clips in general were a trend for the 2000s. But those cute small clips that looked like butterflies were everything. This is why they deserve to come back and be loved again. These are the perfect clips to put in when you want to accessorize your hair without it being too over the top.
