8 Ways to Have a Productive Morning

1. Plan Your Day the Night Before

Writing out a to-do list before you go to bed is a great way to make sure you do everything that needs to be done in the AM, without the risk of forgetting. Having a plan of attack for your day will ensure a productive morning. And who doesn’t love crossing things of a to-do list?

2. Go to Bed a Little Bit Earlier

Getting 8 hours of sleep is essential to a healthy lifestyle. If you go to bed earlier, even if just 15 minutes earlier than normal, your mind will be less groggy in the morning and you’ll be ready to face the day!

3. Exercise

Exercising regularly helps relieve stress and keeps you healthy overall. It also gives you more energy, especially if you do it regularly, to get stuff done. There’s an added bonus to working out in the morning – it wakes you up AND sets the tone for the day; making for not only a productive morning, but a productive rest of the day!

4. Keep a Morning Routine

Make a habit of your morning routine as sticking to a regular pattern will help you get ready faster. Also, the methodical routine will keep you relaxed as it becomes second nature.

5. Eat Breakfast

Breakfast kick starts your body and metabolism for the day; hence why they call it the most important meal. Going the extra step of decorating your food to make it look good is a great way to improve your mood, putting you in the right mindset to have a productive morning. It doesn’t hurt that breakfast food is the best kind of food, too!

6. Take Breaks

Your brain and body need a break every now and then. Stepping away from an activity can help new ideas flow and you can tackle work faster. Take a walk, read something other than a textbook, or listen to music. You can’t have a productive morning if your brain is on overload.

7. Have a Plan B

Things going wrong is always a possibility. Whether you forget to do something or are running late, always have a plan B. If your morning doesn’t pan out how you had hoped, rearrange your schedule to do something another day. There’s always tomorrow!

8. Avoid Social Media

We all know what a black hole social media can be. Try not to immediately go for your phone when you wake up. Save these distractions as a reward when your productive morning is complete!
