8 Awesome Bath Bombs You Need To Try

I remember being a junior in high school when I first heard of a bath bomb from a friend in my geology class. She was so excited about this product, and was gushing over how totally awesome they were. Naturally, I was very intrigued, and just had to test these bath bombs out for myself. The closest thing that I got to a fizzing item that you put in the bathtub was a Vick’s VaporShower Tablet, where you’d place the tablet near the drain and take a shower. This tablet was something you absolutely could not touch while it was fizzing as it would burn your skin. So, I was slightly apprehensive when I used my first bath bomb, but I soon discovered that if you accidentally touch the bath bomb while it’s fizzing, it won’t burn your skin. It was truly one of the best experiences ever, and I recall my 17-year-old self feeling super giddy about the bath bomb like a kid on Christmas morning. The one I chose had gorgeous coloring along with the most beautiful fragrance, and had the coolest-looking fizzing effect. At that exact moment in time, I was completely in love with bath bombs, and over the years I have found many that are in one word, awesome! I highly recommend these eight bath bombs if you’re looking for something cool and impressive to moisturize your skin.

1. Sex Bomb

This is actually the very first bath bomb that I used after I found out about their existence from my friend. Sex Bomb from LUSH is definitely one of my all-time favorite bath bombs that has such an amazing scent! The colors of this super sexy bath bomb are purple and pink along with a small pink flower on top that blooms when you place it in the water. Naturally, your bath water will turn a lovely shade of pinkish-purple, and will fill your nose with the scent of jasmine, sage and ylang ylang, which also act as strong aphrodisiacs. There’s also soy milk in this bath bomb which will help in softening your skin as you soak. I can ensure you that you won’t be disappointed with this beautiful bath bomb!

2. Disco Bomb

I found that this bath bomb is just all sorts of fun when placed into the water! Disco Bomb by Da Bomb is a funky red, green, yellow and blue bath bomb that you can buy from Ulta Beauty. I do love the colors in this bath bomb, and how they all swirl together creating a lovely fruit punch fragrance as the bath bomb fizzes in the water. What’s really cool about this bath bomb is that once it’s done fizzing, there’s an awesome color changing light inside in the shape of a cube. Da Bomb bath bombs are also known for having little surprises inside their bath bombs, like erasers or keychains. It’s honestly a very groovy bath bomb that will entertain people of all ages.

3. Maple Sugar Waffle

Alright, I’ll be honest when I say that this bath bomb from Nectar Bath Treats looks almost good enough to eat! The realism they put into this bath bomb is simply amazing, and I love some of the added intricate details as well. This bath bomb smells exactly how it looks; just like maple syrup. It may not be the most attractive color for your bath water, but the ingredients are great for your skin! Maple Sugar Waffle contains sweet almond oil, epsom salts and Moroccan lava clay which makes for a lovely soak to help de-stress your body. Plus, the butter and whipped cream on top act as a soft soap for your skin. This super cute bath bomb is an absolute winner in my book!

4. Lump of Coal

I realize that the name of the bath bomb may not sound nice, but it’s truly one of the coolest bath bombs that I’ve come across in recent years. Lump of Coal is a black bath bomb with red, pink, orange and blue accents from Fragrant Jewels that smells like a flowery citrus fruit. Some of the notes in this bath bomb include orange, lemon, rose petals and jasmine which make for an intoxicating scent. I also kind of like how this bath bomb turns the water a dark orangish color, but also releases hints of bright red, orange and yellow. Surprisingly, Lump of Coal didn’t turn my bath water black, which I’m definitely ok with! But after being a LUSH bath bomb fan for so many years, I’ve found a new favorite in Fragrant Jewels as in the middle of every single one of their bath bombs is a beautiful ring. I love how every ring is different inside and representative of each bath bomb too. This is one unique bath bomb that you don’t want to miss out on!

5. Winter Garden

If there’s one thing that I absolutely love about LUSH bath bombs is when they include real crushed flower petals! This snowy white bath bomb includes marigold, blue cornflowers and pink delphinium petals, along with ylang ylang and bergamot fragrances. I also love how when this bath bomb fizzes, it releases all of the flower petals to gently float on top of the water. Winter Garden is also an amazing moisturizer for your dry skin as it includes cocoa butter as well as rice starch, which makes for a silky bath water. The simplicity of this bath bomb is lovely, and is a great way to unwind after a stressful day.

6. “F” Bomb

This is another awesome bath bomb from Da Bomb that is both humorously named, and pretty to look at. “F” Bomb is a gorgeous purplish-blue color, and when placed into the water it turns it a lovely lilac shade. This is one of my favorite bath bombs because it’s a beautiful lavender scent, and also has a nice little message inside. I reserve this bath bomb for those days that my buttons have been pushed just a little too far, and need to take a bath to calm my exasperated self. Plus, it’s nice to receive the little cute message at the end. It’s basically like a fortune cookie for your bathtub. Get this bath bomb at your nearest Ulta Beauty, and be prepared to let go of all that pent up anger!

I literally fell in love when I first laid eyes on this adorable bath bomb from Nectar Bath Treats! Sugar Crush is in the shape of a pink and white heart that smells just like heaven when placed in the bath water. This bath bomb is fragranced with Asian pear, lily and pink sugar which makes for quite the intoxicating scent. I love how the bath water turns into a light pink color with swirls of white in it too. This bath bomb also contains wonderful ingredients like epsom salts, kaolin clay and safflower oil that cleanse and moisturize your skin back to a healthy glow. Sugar Crush is another bath bomb that also works great at melting the stress of a difficult day away. You can trust me when I say that you’ll absolutely adore this bath bomb!

8. Dragon

Here is yet another awesome bath bomb from Fragrant Jewels that had me ordering it as soon as it came back in stock. Yes, it’s that popular. Dragon is a beautiful bath bomb that resembles a sky-blue dragon’s egg; it even has scales going up it which makes for some realistic detail. Once in the water, this bath bomb fizzes to a stunning blue, white and purple color, and looks to be hatching as it rolls around in the tub. The exhilarating scents of this bath bomb include plum, tiger lily and cedar, which I love the added cedar as I’m a huge fan of anything pine scented. This bath bomb, of course, has a beautiful ring in the middle of it that mimics the look of a dragon. I’ll definitely be stocking up on these bad boys for a while, that is until I find a new bath bomb to obsess over. You’ll definitely find that this bath bomb is just simply too amazing to pass up.
