Nobody want’s to believe they’re being cheated on. Sometimes it’s hard to believe and in other situations it’s all too obvious. If you’re left guessing about your boyfriend’s loyalty, here are 5 tell-tale signs he’s cheating on you.
Either he always has his phone in his hand or pocket—he’ll never set it down on the table—or he always leaves it out of sight. A partner who is committed to you and only you would be comfortable enough to show you things on his phone or let you answer some texts for him while he’s driving. This is one of the big signs he’s cheating. If you’re skeptical of your partner cheating, just ask to borrow his phone and see his reaction! If you’ve been together for months and are exclusive there should be no reason he would be so protective over a small device.
If you’ve been dating for months or years, then you know his typical behavior. But if he’s all of a sudden acting cold towards you, this may be a sign of trouble in paradise. No relationship is perfect and there are times when couples get distant from one another. However, these episodes usually end either with an argument or discussion as to why they were behaving that way to begin with. Either it was because of little annoyances or their work stress was affecting the romance, but there is always a reason given and you both moved on. But if this sudden behavior is always dismissed and never discussed, it may be because of something he’s hiding from you.
A relationship should never just feel like a relationship just two or three days a week. He’s ignoring your texts, replies hours later, bails on plans and never sincerely apologizes or gives any good reason. But then texts you randomly how much you mean to him and how he misses you. If he doesn’t give you the respect you deserve the rest of the time but suddenly you’re “the best thing that ever happened to him,” he might just be keeping you around for when it’s convenient for him. Sadly, there are guys out there that keep their relationship for the stability and support it brings, but then go out like they’re single.
He makes you feel insecure, makes small superficial comments about how you look. You get upset when he doesn’t show you his phone or when he never replies to your texts you’re “crazy” or “irrational” for getting upset. This is probably one of the biggest signs he’s cheating or that something is wrong. You should never feel insecure in a relationship or feel that you’re not good enough. If he’s making you feel that way, he clearly doesn’t see what he has going for him and may be weighing in on other options. You don’t deserve that. You deserve to be in a relationship where you feel secure and appreciated for who you are, how you look. Your feelings are valid. Your anger and frustration should never be dismissed as “craziness.”
