Spring break was a blast, but now that students are coming back to reality and checking their bank accounts, many of them may be pinching pennies for a while. If you’re ballin’ on a budget this article is for you! Here are seven things to do around the University of Alabama when you’re broke AF.
Whip out those cameras, wear your favorite outfit, and hit the town with your friends! Spend the day taking photos and going outside of Tuscaloosa. If you want to go all out, head to the Sanford Media Center in Gorgas Library and rent out a nice camera for the day for FREE!
Face your fear of heights by climbing up this ropes course! If you are a climbing pro, maybe get comfortable at the top and read a book up there in the meantime.
Enjoy some beautiful Tuscaloosa spring weather and relax on the quad listening to your favorite music. Lay out with your friends and enjoy each other’s company.
On Saturdays, head to frat row to have a day filled with fun at no cost at all. Hop from house to house with your friends and enjoy a different group everywhere you go. Sometimes you will even land at a craw fish broil. Eat up!
Head to the local animal shelter to get some puppy love. If you really fall head over heels for a dog, make sure you adopt it and give it a great home. Dogs are a huge responsibility, so make sure you have no commitment issues first!
Not only does the university have a pool available to all students, but most of the housing complexes near campus do as well! Put on sunscreen, lay out, close your eyes, and imagine it’s spring break again… A girl can dream, right?
Find some of your old t-shirts, sweatshirts, and pants to rip up. The worn, ragged look is in. Grab some fabric and experiment with clothes you never wear or head to nearby thrift stores to spend $5 for an entire new outfit!
