we have all become bella hadid clones because of these 5 trends

There’s no denying that Bella Hadid is one of the most influential women in the world today when it comes to fashion. From the runway to her street style she is constantly serving jaw dropping looks that has us all desperately wanting to copy. Little by little all the fashion girlies out there, influencers, students, ect, have all become little Bella Hadid clones though the rise of these 5 trends that only Bella could make cool.

1. Midi Skirts

Up until this past year, I would never dare go out in a midi skirt, thinking they were made for old ladies and moms, but Bella Hadid changed my opinion on them. After seeing her style low rise midi skirts in her paparazzi street style pics, I cannot stop buying them. Midi skirts are hard to find though, so your best bet if you want to hop on this trend is to thrift them. Midi skirts are perfect for spring and fall as seasons start to change and you are in different whether of not it is too warm for pants, or warm enough for a skirt. Bella loves pairing these skirts with high boots which are another staple trend of the season. Another interesting take is that after studying abroad in Europe for four months I rarely wore a skirt or dress above my knees. I feel that here in the US the younger generation of women most commonly wear short skirts and dresses. So dare to be different, follow in the steps of Bella Hadid and wear midi skirts to embrace European style and try something new.

2. Capris

Now here is a trend that I have a similar opinion on as the midi skirt. 5 years ago no way I would never touch a pair, but since Bella Hadid came around and made them cool I’m more up for the thought. Im my experience, capris always made me feel short and a bit frumpy. Again,I had only ever seen them on middle aged women before Bella popped out in them. By pairing them with a chunky heel or platform, she is able to create a long illusion for her legs and the rest of her body. Both high and low waist capris work when paired with the right top. I prefer the low rise trend like Bella is sporting in the photo above. I think she looks Who would have thought you can slay in capris, not me that is for sure!

3. Track Pants

Track pants were everything in the early 2000s as hip hop culture and juicy couture inspired the wave of the trend. As Y2K fashion becomes hot again, track pants become a street style sensation. Bella Hadid helped get this trend moving. Everyone loves being able to get away with wearing sweat pants and it is now a plus that they are on trend. I have been to countless vintage shops both here in the US and over in Europe where they sell racks upon racks of stripe track pants. I can almost guarantee that five years or so ago these would never slide, like I would never ben caught dead in high school wearing them, but now I just can not get enough!

4. Samba Mama

Everyone knows that Adidas Sambas are the new it girl shoe. How might you ask? Two words…Bella Hadid. Bella started incorporating Samba’s into her street style and everyday model off duty look and now we are all running around our cities wearing them like clones of her. I am almost convinced that she could wear a trash bag and we would all follow in her footsteps. Anyway back to the adidas, everyone is wearing them and if you do not own a pair this season you need to throw out your air forces and get some. The trending adidas sneaker is also a huge win for the adidas brand overall. It seems that the brand had been out for awhile since the rise and fall of the Superstar sneaker trend back in 2016. Since then, to many people Adidas came across as cheugy and dated. But fashion girlies like Bella Hadid brought them back and better than ever. I predict that they are here to stay. They just collaboration with Gucci to create an epic limited time collection. I think we all have Bella to thank for that.

5. High Socks

High socks, we all know them and probably love them now thanks to Bella Hadid. Before the trend was made cool, the only other time I had worn them was at my 5th grade soccer games. The sporty influence of the socks seems to bring everyone back to their childhood days and invoke good memories. Whether they get paired with Adidas Sambas sneakers, boots, or even a cute loafer there is no denying that if you wear high socks this seasons you know what’s up. Bella takes risks in fashion and risks while wearing knee high socks. I personally think the trend is rocked best with a sneaker and a mini skirt. Bella will pair them with a midi skirt and somehow pull it off.  At the end of the day it is the confidence that she has that radiates through her trendsetting fashion.

Something that I really admire about Bella Hadid’s style is her ability to take trends from every decade and fashion era and make them her own. Whether it is bellbottoms from the 70’s, denim from the 90’s, mini skirt from early Y2K looks and more she seems to always mix it up. She also helps move trends forward and bring old ones back to life again. After Bella sets the trends it trickles down the chain of influencers and so on. To stay up to date with what Bella is wearing and the trends she is setting make sure to follow her social media platforms!
