10 Vegan Dessert Recipes You Have To Make At Home

If you follow a vegan diet, it sometimes might be hard to find a new simple and easy dessert recipe to try out. Look no further than this list of 10 vegan dessert recipes that are delicious and only require ingredients that you’ll have readily available at home. 

Vegan Banana Bread

If you love bananas, then this simple banana bread recipe is a must try. For this recipe, you’ll need 1 cup of mashed banana from about 3 medium or 2 large ripe bananas, ¾ cup of packed light brown sugar, 1/4 cup of non-dairy milk at room temperature, 3 tablespoon of refined coconut oil, 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract, 1 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt. Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. From here, combine your bananas, sugar, milk, oil, and vanilla in a large bowl and whisk until smooth. Afterwards, combine your remaining dry ingredients in a medium bowl, fold together, and combine with wet ingredients. Pour your mixture into a loaf pan and bake your bread for 40 minutes or until cooked through.

Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

For your daily chocolate fix, you have to try these vegan chocolate chip cookies. 1/3 cup of brown sugar, 1/3 cup of granulated sugar, 2/3 cup of canola or vegetable oil, 1/4 cup of unsweetened non-dairy milk, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract, 1 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt, and 4 ounces of semi-sweet vegan chocolate, roughly chopped, or 1 cup vegan chocolate chips. Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit and lining 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. From here, combine your wet ingredients, sugar and cornstarch in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Afterwards, mix your remaining wet ingredients in a separate bowl and whisk until well combined. Mix both bowls of ingredients and fold in your chocolate chips. Scoop your dough onto your baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.

Vegan Brownies

If you’re a chocolate lover, you have to give these vegan brownies a try. For this recipe, you’ll need 4 ounces of bittersweet chocolate, roughly chopped, 1/3 cup of refined coconut oil, 1/3 cup of room temperature unsweetened non dairy milk, 1/2 tablespoon of cornstarch, 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of dutch process cocoa powder, ¾ teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt. Firstly, preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit and line a 8″ by 8″ pan with aluminum foil. Afterwards, combine your chopped chocolate and coconut oil in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until chocolate is completely melted. Afterwards, whisk in your milk, cornstarch and sugar. In a medium bowl, whisk together your flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Afterwards, fold your dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, then transfer to the prepared baking pan. Bake your brownies for 25 minutes. 

Sorbet

If you need something cool, sweet and refreshing, you have to make this fruity sorbet. For this recipe, you’ll need 3 pounds of strawberries, tops removed and halved, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt. Start by blending your strawberries in a fruit processor until liquified, and then strain the mixture. Repeat the process until you have 4 cups of puree. Afterwards, combine your puree with your lemon juice, sugar and kosher salt. Place your mixture into your ice cream churner for about 20 minutes. Place your mixture in the freezer for two hours. 

Churro Banana Bites

If you want a simple, no-bake quick dessert with a hint of cinnamon, this is the dessert for you. For this recipe, you’ll need 2 bananas, sliced into 1/2″ coins, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, and 1/4 cup of melted vegan chocolate. To start, combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and whisk together until evenly combined. Afterwards, melt your coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat. Caramelize your banana slices and sprinkle them with your cinnamon sugar mixture. Dip your banana slices into the melted chocolate and enjoy!

Monster Trail Mix Bites

If you want a healthier dessert, give this no-bake recipe a try. You’ll need 1 cup of old-fashioned rolled oats, 1/2 cup of mini vegan chocolate chips, 1/4 cup of chopped peanuts, 1/4 cup of raisins, 1/4 cup of mini M&Ms, 3/4 cup of creamy peanut butter, melted, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt. In a large bowl, stir together your oats, chocolate chips, peanuts, mini M&Ms, melted peanut butter, and honey and season it with your kosher salt. Stir the mixture together until well combined, then scoop into tablespoon-size balls. Refrigerate your trail mix bites for around 1 to 2 hours.

Chocolate Blueberry Clusters

If you’re looking for a spin on chocolate covered berries, you have to try this unique and easy to make recipe. You’ll need 1 1/2 cups of semi-sweet vegan chocolate chips, melted, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, 2 cups of blueberries, and flaky sea salt, for garnish. To begin, line a small baking sheet with parchment paper. From here, mix melted chocolate with coconut oil in a medium bowl. Spoon a small dollop of chocolate on the parchment paper and top with five blueberries. Drizzle your chocolate over the blueberries and sprinkle them with sea salt. Freeze your berries and chocolate until firm.

Black Bean Brownies

If you’re after a more protein packed dessert, give this unique spin on a brownie a try. You’ll need 1 1/2 cups of black beans, drained and rinsed very well, 1/2 cup of quick oats, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 2 tablespoon of cacao powder, 1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt, 1/2 cup of pure maple syrup, 1/4 cup of coconut oil, 2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract, and 1/3 cup of chocolate chips, plus more for topping. Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. From here, combine all ingredients except chocolate chips in a good food processor and blend completely. Fold in your chocolate chips and pour your batter into an 8″ by 8″ pan. Bake your brownies for 15 minutes. 

Peanut Butter Cookies

These peanut butter cookies are by far one of the simplest recipes, requiring only four ingredients total. You’ll need 1 cup of unsalted, creamy natural peanut butter, 1 flax egg (1 tablespoon of golden ground flaxseed and 3 tablespoons of water, whisked together, set for 15 minutes), ¼ cup and 2 tablespoons coconut sugar, and ¾ teaspoon of baking soda. Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit and lining 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and thoroughly mix them together. Scoop your dough onto your baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes.

Avocado Chocolate Mousse

If you’re looking to try a unique but tasty vegan recipe, give this one a go. You’ll need the flesh of 2 ripe avocados, 1/4 cup of regular cocoa powder, 1/4 cup of melted chocolate chips, 3 to 4 tablespoons of your milk of choice, 1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract, 1/8 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor until completely smooth. You can add more of your milk of choice to adjust the consistency of the mousse.
