The key to a good glaze is to grill the pork chops to get them mostly cooked, then to baste them with your glaze during about the last four minutes of cooking. Then, finally basting them again after taking them off the grill, and finally serving them with any leftover glaze!

All you have to do is make the filling by combining cream cheese, sour cream, lime juice, cilantro, and green onion. Then salt & pepper your mini bell pepper halves, and put some filling into each. The combination of the sweet strawberries with the earthy and nutty flavors of brie cheese makes this chicken burger absolutely delicious.

The prep beforehand will actually benefit you because sometimes ribs can take a long time to grill, so this way it will only take you a couple of minutes to get these served. You can even cook them the day before and chill them in the refrigerator until it’s party time!

This macaroni pie will take both your fourth of July party and love of macaroni & cheese to the next level. Another dish that you can make before the party to give you more time to hang out with your friends/family instead of slaving away in the kitchen. This recipe isn’t too difficult to prepare besides, perhaps, setting up the pie crust. You’ll need to press your piecrust into a nine-inch pie plate and freeze until firm so about 15 minutes. Then, you’ll line your piecrust with aluminum foil and fill it with pie weights which are essentially little ball weights you put on the crust to prevent air pockets in your crust. The recipe says you could use dried beans if you don’t have any official pie weights around. You’ll bake your covered piecrust for 20 minutes, then removing your pie weights and foil, then bake until the bottom is dry so probably just five more minutes. After making your macaroni & cheese mixture, bake the pie for about 30 minutes and garnish with thyme leaves! One bite of this and it will certainly be a go-to for your summer lunch recipes in the future.

You’ll need to have out at least one salad at your fourth of July barbeque to maintain the illusion of being healthy. This recipe gives you a delicious potato kale salad that everyone will love! You’ll boil the potatoes for about 15 to 18 minutes, then grill the shallots and scoop out the insides. Make your dressing with lemon juice, vinegar, oil, and salt & pepper. You’ll grill your kale in a medium bowl with some oil and salt for just about a minute and then combine with everything else to have a quick, healthy, and delicious salad perfect for your backyard barbeque.

Although this doesn’t necessarily count for the list of summer lunch recipes, you need to put out these mini stars berry pies at your fourth of July party! This recipe will take a bit more time and work in preparing but the end result of these delicious pie desserts will truly impress all your party guests. The berry combination on its own makes these pies delicious, but if you want to go above and beyond throw on a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
