Getting a new piercing can be a very exciting adventure (dramatic, I know). But really, you get a hole punctured somewhere onto your skin and voila, you can wear bling on that area and make it look pretty. But you know, just when you thought you knew all of the latest piercing trends, this article pops up. Yup. Grab a coffee and some tea, and be prepared to uncover a list of 10 unusual piercings you haven’t seen before!

1) It’s not just eyeshadow that goes on eyelids.

Ouch! For the love of all that is holy. Bet you weren’t expecting an eyelid piercing now, were you? (Cries.)

2) Deliberately drilling a hole in your tooth.

We’ve all seen those fake stick-on diamonds that are popped onto one of the front teeth for a “sparkly smile”. But actually drilling a hole in the tooth to make way for an actual ring…really? Well, this picture says it’s real.

3) Tonsil piercing. But. Just. Why.

This makes me sad. Just plain sad. It’s called a “uvula piercing” and once it’s done, you can rock an earring…hanging from your tonsils. I want to know how you eat and talk and cough and breath, please?

6) Vampire bite at the nape of your neck.

It’s called a nape piercing and as far as I’m concerned, it looks like a vampire bite. It also looks like a recipe for a painful and disastrous injury…just imagine wearing and taking off your shirts. (Faints.)

7) An entire corset pierced onto your bare skin.

It honestly shouldn’t get any weirder than this, but it most likely will. I have one question though, and that is how on earth could you ever lay on your back again in your life?

8) Mouth bone and gum piercing, anyone?

Oh for goodness’ sakes, really now? I have nothing more to say.

9) Because an eyelid piercing isn’t enough.

Okay, now I have officially seen everything there is to see in life. I am currently witnessing a piercing on somebody’s eyeball and I am now a changed woman. Sweet.

This one is pretty! (Finally a pretty piercing on this list.) If I had to pick an unusual piercing that I would get for myself, it would be this one!
