How To Naturally Lighten Hair Without Any Chemicals

Looking into how to naturally lighten hair? If you are in need of methods to lighten your hair, but refuse to use any chemicals, then have no fear! We have a number of chemical free options for you to read about and consider carrying out yourself.

Lemon Juice

Lemon Juice diluted down half and half with a measure of distilled water. It will lighten dark blonde or light brown tones. It doesn’t leave reddish tones unless your hair already has them. A great option for how to naturally lighten hair!

Apple Cider Vinegar

Another great option for how to naturally lighten hair! Raw Apple Cider Vinegar is a proven option. Mix with 50/50 distilled water and lighten hair to add a light reddish shade. Leave in your hair for 30 minutes and then proceed to rinse.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Dilute this with half and half distilled water and leave in your hair for 15-20 minutes. It will lighten quickly without the fear of it drying out.

Swear By Chamomile

Want to lighten dark hair? Brew a strong cup of chamomile tea and allow it to cool. To highlight separate strands, apply the liquid to individual sections, if you would prefer a full colour, pour it over your head. Go out into the sun and let it dry, then rinse out after 30 minutes.

Try Henna

On most hair this can darken, although on strongly dark hair it has the lightening effect. Add three tablespoons of henna powder and add to half a cup of boiling water. Let this set for 12 hours- or overnight. Then comes the application to the hair and allow it to set for 2-3 hours, and wash out.
