Everyone knows that dating is a pain, and one of the worst things is when you’re craving some alone time with a guy who just isn’t picking up what you’re putting down. Well, do not worry; there’s plenty of ways to get a guy to ask you out if you’re yet to break the first date barrier down. Plus, once you’ve been on one date, there’s no reason why many more dates can’t follow (if that’s what you want, of course). So here’s how to get a boy to ask you out!
Say there’s a new restaurant just opened, a new film that’s just come out or a fun club night happening in your local town/city that you really want to go to, and would be just perfect for your first date with the person you’ve been talking to. Casually mention the film/restaurant/club night to the object of your affections, and mention how you’d love to go, if only someone would go with you. As long as your guy isn’t completely oblivious (and hey, he must be if he hasn’t asked you on a date yet), then he’ll pick up on the hint and offer to go with you.
If you and your friends have a fun activity planned like watching a film, going to a bar or even something like bowling, invite your potential significant other along. Whilst you’re there, let him know that you’d like to make this an exclusive thing by suggesting that next time you hang out, it should just be the two of you, or alternatively, if you’re doing something like seeing a film suggest that the pair of you grab a drink after.
If you’re going to have plans one day, like going out for coffee, casually let him know what you’re up to. If he knows your schedule, then it’s more likely that he’ll ask if he can join you at whatever it is you’re doing. Once he joins then – ta dah! – your cheeky treat yourself Starbucks is now a cosy date for two. If you want to take this a step further, let him know when you’re going out in the evening – inviting him to a club or a bar increases your chances of getting a tipsy kiss or a dance together. If you kiss him or dance with him, he’s more likely to think you’re interested and then ask you out. This is really important when it comes to how to get a boy to ask you out!
Traditionally, boys ask girls out on dates, but why should they get all the fun? Shrug off those gender roles and suggest a fun first date activity to your hottie, making sure that he knows it’s a date. Everyone knows that confidence is super sexy and seeing as you’re the one taking charge, I’m sure he’ll go weak at the knees at your offer. If you really want to push the boat out, offer to pay as well – I’m sure he’ll appreciate getting treated for once, and since you’ve been so generous I’m sure he’ll offer to treat you for the next one.
These are just a few ways to get a guy to ask you out. Remember, the best thing to is to be yourself, let him know you’re interested and don’t be too disheartened if it doesn’t work out. At the end of the day, anyone would be lucky to have you so even if the fella you’re pursuing doesn’t say yes, there’s plenty more fish in the sea that you can use these tips and tricks on.
