8 Benefits Of Charcoal That Your Beauty Routine Needs

Charcoal is one of the in skin products on the market right now. It’s in everything, face masks, face washes, cleansers, you name it it’s in there. But what exactly does it do for your skin and what are the benefits? Do we actually need it for clear skin or is it another fad product the beauty industry is forcing us? For starters we do and we need it now. It is a natural remedy that can flush out the toxins and chemicals in your skin.  That’s not the only benefit so take a look at this handy list of the benefits of charcoal that your skin routine needs!

1. Squeaky Clean Teeth

It can also whiten your teeth, which I know sounds crazy considering you want a whiter smile but are instead putting something dirtier on top. But it works by sticking to the dirt on your teeth and pulling it away leaving pearly whites underneath. You’ll still need to use regular toothpaste but using a charcoal-infused one a couple times a week will begin to make a difference.

2. Bug Bites Bugging You?

It’s that season where you need your window open 24/7 for that breathe of fresh air but you risk letting in a million and one bugs, fast forward to the morning and you’re covered in itchy red blotches. Ouch. Charcoal once again becomes your saviour as it can help speed the recovery process along. It is great for calming irritated skin so don’t let those bugs bother you anymore.

3. Fantastic Face Masks

Pop some charcoal in a face mask and you’re just asking for gorgeous skin. The activated charcoal digs deep into the skin to clear the pores and clear out any of the impurities deep in your skin. Face masks are fantastic anyways but charcoal just makes everything better.

4. A Gentle Exfoliator Too!

This one product has endless uses and I for one am glad! With a slightly gritty texture, it is ideal for exfoliating the dead skin cells. Its ability to draw out the impurities is an even better bonus and ensures that you have super smooth skin.

5. Oil Control

Do you struggle with oily skin? Skincare products that use charcoal as one of their main ingredients are great for balancing the oil in your skin and drawing out the stale sebum tucked into your pores. So you’ll be using this religiously in your skin routine! This is one of the best benefits of charcoal!

6. Targets Those Pesky Skin Concerns

Have you got any skin concerns that are bugging you? Don’t worry because your new friend charcoal has your back. The magical powder can target pimples and blemishes and draw out the dirt that’s trapped in there, the dirt that caused the issue in the first place!

7. Greasy Hair? No More!

Another use of charcoal is its ability to get rid of grease in your hair. Greasy hair can get us down on the best of days, especially when we forgot to buy dry shampoo! If you want silky, smooth and shiny hair then its just what you need. It cleanses deep into the scalp and penetrates any dirt that lurks beneath. So put down your head and shoulders and reach for this natural remedy to help fight greasy locks. This can be a really helpful benefit of charcoal especially for someone who struggles with greasy hair!

8. Gorgeous Glowing Skin

And if you didn’t think charcoal did enough, it also detoxifies you. Nobody wants dehydrated and dull skin but by using charcoal it rids the body of toxins and has been used for centuries. It helps to reboot your system when you’re feeling a bit rough and makes sure you’re ready to take on the world.
