5 Tips For How To Be Yourself And Stop Caring What Others Think

Not all of us are comfortable in our own skin. Sure, we’ll post a slew of extremely deep ass quotes on social media to give off the appearance that we are but, a lot of times that just isn’t the case. And we often allow other’s opinions and views of us, to become facts, which should NEVER be! Being true to who you are and not giving one fuck about what people say or think about you, is so vital to your overall life happiness. Today’s society is so consumed with following whatever the current trend and fashion look is, that they frown upon and judge those who go against the grain. As a result, you almost forget how to be yourself.

If you are one of those people who feel pressure to conform to some bullshit ideas of how people think you should look and act, then here are 5 simple tips to help you love and embrace being yourself ….

Read Daily Self-Love Affirmations

Write down various different inspirational and motivational sayings that you find either online or make some up yourself, on sticky notes. Tell yourself everyday “You are dope, smart, witty and deserve to be loved for who you are”. It may sound cheesy as hell but it’s the truth!

Have Great Self-Confidence

It is key to have confidence in yourself to be the kind of person you want to be. There is a fine line between being arrogant and confident though. But as long as you aren’t being a dick to people, then by all means boast about how much of a badass you are and how you are going to accomplish all your goals and dreams.

Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say

Always speak and live your truth no matter who doesn’t like it or approve. Don’t be afraid to speak your mind and never mince your words. Also, don’t hold back or downplay your feelings because they may make someone mad or feel uncomfortable.

Do What You Want

If you want to chop off all your hair, do it! If you want to quit your shit job to open up your own business, do it! Life is way too fucking short to conform to how people think you should look, what they think you should do or how they think you should live! Take whatever risks you want as long as they aren’t going to hurt you or anybody else.

Live Your Life For You Alone

We all get one life and what we do with that life is very important. Don’t waste yours by trying to fit in with some lame ass crowd that looks “cool” or by trying to emulate others that you deem “popular”. Figure out who you are, what you want and let that self-reflection be your guide to living your life as you want to.
