If you’re a freak for fashion you are well aware that fashion is evolutionary and it changes a little bit every single day, from season to season. Frankly, trends come and go but some fashion phenomenas, much like a true love or a good friendship, are forever. Let’s take a second to reminisce a few that we know will never lose their spark. Here are 10 timeless fashion trends we’ll continue to adore year after year.
Though floral print may sometimes remind us of grade 4 lunch time, it actually has carried on its name in good light for years now. From flowy floral pants to pretty flower dresses and shirts, florals make for one of the most beloved timeless fashion trends. The best part is that it has evolved and molded into more modernist versions of itself to fit with today’s popular demands, and I think I can speak for all when I say that we are LOVING it.
Am I the only one that’s been seeing leopard and snake print literally everywhere? Probably not, because animal printed apparel is one of the most timeless fashion trends to exist to this day. A personal favourite of mine are a badass pair of snakeskin booties; I mean, can your outfit ever look too “extra?”
Okay, let’s just get one thing straight. Trench coats are everything and we will probably never stop embracing that. From typical trench belts to chains and cufflinks, trench coats have been evolving into a masterpiece of nudist colours and styles, and nobody’s complaining. Not only are they never out of style, but they’re never not the perfect cherry on top to any outfit.
Speaking of nudist, the neutral palette is not only one of the most adorned timeless fashion trends, but it’s a movement. Simplicity speaks in the loudest volumes and the neutral palette proves it all with it’s endless options, from neutral pinks, a thousand shades of nude, greys and many more. Lana Del Rey did it right when she sang about the most killer combo of all time; a good pair of blue jeans and a white shirt. One of those timeless fashion trends that are so easy to spice up and turn into a look that’s truly out of this world. It’s no secret that this pairing will live on forever, with it’s casual flare and classic feel.
Although blazers are traditionally meant for the office, they aren’t just fashion forward, they’re trend setters. Straight from work, ready to hit the streets, blazers make for an elegant and sophisticated addition to any outfit, casual or formal. There is just no getting away from this one.
From boyfriend jeans to dad shirts, menswear has become one of the most fast and phenomenal timeless fashion trends over time. The most evolutionary thing about it is that menswear has branched out and become a part of women’s wear as well. Some all time favourites of mine are shoes inspired by menswear such as oxfords, as paperboy hats, baggy mens jeans and even oversized mens jackets and coats.
Denim jackets are one of those timeless fashion trends we will never get tired of, and the best part is that they are continuously changing and coming in all shapes and sizes. Starting with the classic oversized denim jacket to sherpa lining denim jackets, as well as cropped jean jackets, the opportunities to look stylish are endless!
Leather, velvet, suede and more; black pumps are never going out of style and I’m living for it. The ultimate sprinkle on top to any attire, black pumps are classy and classic. Whether you pair them with a casual tee and some light washed jeans or a fabulous dress for a night out, black pumps are one of the most divine and chic timeless fashion trends.
Do I even have to talk about this one? White sneakers are probably one of the most taken for granted trends, and although their importance sometimes goes unnoticed, their comfort and edge never do. A classic enhancer of any outfit, white sneakers will take you a long way (literally).
