Every college student is obsessed with food. Here at ESU, we’re lucky to have a number of options when it comes to where you can eat. Keep reading for the ultimate guide to eating at ESU!
Living on campus you will find the easiest way to eat is using your meal plan in the dining hall. ESU has meal plans based on how many days you plan on eating on campus a week, but they also offer block meal plans. Every mean plan comes with $200 of flex.
You might be wondering what flex is after reading that all meal plans come with it. Flex is money that comes with your meal plan, provided by the school, that can be used at any of the places on campus. Flex rolls over from the fall semester to the spring semester, but after spring you will lose it all. Use it all before the end of spring. ESU does bulk sales to use your flex on towards the end of the spring semester.
Dansbury Commons is the dining hall on campus. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the week, and brunch and dinner on weekends. After dinner, Dansbury turns into “Late Night”, so if you are a late eater you will still be able to eat some delicious snacks.
Dansbury is not the only place you can use meal swipes at ESU. On campus, we also have the Center Court (which you will hear people call the Union), located in the University Center.
If you are a computer science major, science major, or math major, you will probably spend a lot of time at the STC Pod café located in the Science and Technology building.
There is also the pod located inside of Dansbury Commons, if you want to grab something quick to eat. And for all of you studiers who will be in the library, there is the Food 4 Thought café inside of the library.
If you ran out of meal swipes for the week, don’t worry there are places around campus you can go to for food as well. Just search your room for some change lying around. Right across the street from campus there is a Wawa, which always has a bunch of ESU students.
You can always take a trip down to Main Street as well which has plenty of good pizza shops, sandwich shops, and more. Also only like a couple minutes off campus near the Wal-Mart there is a Burger King and Ichiban. If you want something a little closer, you can go to Crystal Street and find Track Side, and plenty of other places to eat.
