The Best Boston Outdoor Activities To Enjoy In The Summertime

During summer Boston becomes a much more vibrant and sun city than during the cold cold winter (just being honest). So here are a few of the best Boston outdoor activities you should do this summer.

1. Kayaking at Charles River

This outdoor activity apart from being super fun you will enjoy Boston best views. It’s no surprise that this is one of the most common popular tourist activity as you are surrounded by sunshine and water. Rates for a double kayak is around $22 the hour and $64 a day, while paddleboards are around the same. The nice thing about these rental places is that they have multiple locations through the Charles River, therefore you will most likely find out near you. An important notice is that most of the kayak rental places open until May.

2. Visit SOWA Market

This market is one of Boston largest markets, this relaxed outdoor located around South Boston. This vibrant and exciting market offers everything from food and arts, exiting plan to go with a group of friends. Part of the exciting thing is SOWA brewery selection as well as live music and lawn games. Here you will also be able to attend multiple art studios, vintage shops, boutiques, etc. This market is family friendly and pet-friendly. The market has no cost, yet you can decide how much to spend as many food truck or stores sampled. The open market happens in the first week of every month.

3. Hike Boston Harbor Islands

What not better plan than take a break from the noisy city and go hiking? This plan is perfect for the nature of enthusiastic people. It’s a great way to see the beautiful natural sites the city has to offer breathtaking views of both the harbor and downtown Boston. Here you will also be able to catch a glimpse of wildlife. Ferry Ticket prices are from $15- $20 dollars.

4. Whale Watching

The New England Aquarium partnered with the Boston Harbor Cruises for this amazing viewing. Leaving from the New England Aquarium, it heads to the Stellwagen Bank Marine Sanctuary. Here apart from seeing whales, you could see dolphins, sea birds, and other marine life. In this ride, you could see pilot whales, minke whales, and much more. This plan is great to go for an amazing downtime with nature. The rates on average of $55.

5. Belkin Family Outlook Farm

This farm family owned is great to go with friends or family. Some of the plans this farm offers is playing with the farm animals, an amazing tour around the beautiful farm, and the most popular requested activity, apple picking.
