10 Summer Drinks Perfect For Those Hot Days

Summer drinks are arguably the perfect cure for a hot summer day. There’s no better feeling than a cool, refreshing drink during the peak heat, and here are some simple but delicious drinks (both alcoholic & non-alcoholic) that you can make by yourself!

1. Watermelon Sangria

Sangria is one of the ultimate summer drinks, no matter what kind it is. This watermelon sangria is a unique take on the traditional sangria and is sure to be a hit.

Ingredients

4 cups of cubed watermelon

1 750 ml bottle of moscato

1 cup of rum

Juice of 4 limes

Zest of 2 limes

1 tbsp. sugar

Lime slices for garnish

2. Cranberry-Basil Spritzer

This cocktail is the perfect mix of sweet and sour. It’s sure to be a fan favourite amongst you and your friends because of its unique tastes and refreshing zest.

Ingredients

1 cup of water

1 cup of sugar

1 cup of basil leaves

2 cups of unsweetened cranberry juice

1/4 cup fresh lime juice

1 liter of chilled club soda

4 slices of lime

1 cup of fresh cranberries

300 grams of strawberries

50 grams of caster sugar

1 large/2 small oranges

1 clementine

50 mL of vodka

4 ounces of clear rum

2 tsp of sugar

Juice from 2 limes

1 quart of freshly brewed (chilled) tea

2 cups of (chilled) fresh mango juice

1/2 cup of gin

1/4 to 1/2 cup of simple syrup (equal parts sugar & water; heated until sugar dissolves)

Ice cubes

Fresh mangoes & mint sprigs for garnish
