What are strappy sandals and what is the history behind this latest fashion trend?
Strappy sandals are simply a foot covering that has a strap to hold your foot in place. Yes, it’s that simple. They are known to be one of the most popular shoes all around the globe and I couldn’t agree more. They’re cute, stylish, comfy and in the summer, your feet will thank you for being able to breath freely unlike in the winter time when you wear boots almost on the daily.
If you’re still shopping your worries away this summer and haven’t found that perfect summer strappy sandal, then have no fear because I have here some of the most comfiest and stylish sandals you will want to wear for the rest of summer!
GAVERY SANDAL from DSW. Price: $69.99
One of my favorite strappy sandals that I have seen this summer is this one write here. From Marc Fisher, this sandal has skinny knotted straps, a chunky block heel with a squared toe for 90’s-inspired style. It has adjustable ankle straps, synthetic lining and padded footbed. The heal is 2.75”. Not only do they go well with spring and summer dresses, but you can dress them up with a pair of jeans, too if you wanted. They’re sexy, comfortable and durable as you can wear them for long hours and your feet won’t hurt.

Next on the list we have these strappy sandals from ASOS. Honestly, what I love about this company is that they have free delivery and free returns. I don’t know about you, but that makes life SO much easier and my wallet will like it too when I purchase clothing items from here. This sandal is open toe with an adjustable ankle strap and mid block heel. Not only are they easy to clean with just damp cloth or sponge, but they are comfortable, the quality is great and they fit true to size, so now if you’re a size 8, you will know that a size 8 will (hopefully) if you perfectly and no returns will be needed.

You truly cannot go wrong with purchasing anything from Nordstrom and that’s all there is too it. With their anniversary sale, these strappy sandals are 40% off. What’s great about these sandals is that they come in five different colors–light brown, bright white, kiwi, gold leaf/soft silver and black! It’s a very sophisticated style shoe that has a block heel and wraparound straps. The heel is 1 1/4” with a synthetic upper, lining and sole. The straps are adjustable, too which makes for getting in and out them very easy. Reviews for them have said that they’re extremely comfortable and they go with everything, too.
Exclusive Cognac Leather Alibi Sandals from Tuckernuck. Price: $155
A classic sandal, these are perfect if you want to look like a fashionista and be comfortable all at the same time. These are one of Tuckernuck’s best selling sandals because they match well with any outfit, day or night. Pair them with jeans and a casual t-shirt or even a sheer slip-dress if you prefer to be more on the fancier side. 100% leather, the only thing you have to not do with these sandals is to NOT get them wet. Reviews have also stated that at first they might be uncomfortable, but all you have to do is wear them in and you’ll be just fine for your next outing with these strappy sandals.

If you’ve been following some, most or all of my fashion articles, then you know that I love the online company Lulus. I love, love, love all of their clothes and other items like shoes. Not only are they affordable, but what they have on their website lasts long, too. That’s why I love these strappy sandals. I mean, how cute are they! They’re perfect for having fun in the summer when you’re out and about exploring. With colorful woven straps with a pink, green, tan and blue gingham pattern, they’re connected with triangle accents which help create this sporty style shoe. They’re also made with a cushioned insole, a 1.25” rubber sole and there is adjustable velcro which make getting in and out of these sandals simply a breeze.

I’m a Target lover (and shopper) and if you are too then these sandals are perfect for you. They come in colors: black, cream, off-white, red, and tan. Made with a thong strap for a comfy fit, they’re great for everyday casual wear. Because they have an open toe and open back, this also makes for a breezy feel to your feet, while the slip on design makes it easy to simply, slip into the shoe and get out of it. Pair these sandals with shorts, sundresses, jeans and cute t-shirt–whatever your heart desires and without a doubt, you’ll be one of the most fashionable people around.

Lastly, we have these lovely pair of strappy sandals from another one of my favorite brands–Madewell. Made of oiled vachetta leather, these sandals have a suede-lined molded footbed with a flexible sawtooth sole. They’re chic, comfortable, affordable for what you’re getting with a shoe and my favorite part about all of this (the shoe and Madewell) is that the leather sourced is from a tannery that achieved a Gold Rating from LWG–Leather Working Group. It’s an organization that works to promote sustainable environmental practices in the (you guessed it) leather industry. How cool is that???
