Let’s be honest, we all know the only reason we deal with Monday’s is because we get to tune into The Bachelor and if you’re anything like the rest of us, you’re very invested in this season. Colton’s journey for love has been quite the wild ride, and even if you think you’re not that invested, you probably are. So here are the 10 stages of watching The Bachelor that are too real.
First things first, when the season got started you had to wait as one by one, ladies of all sorts made their way into the mansion with the hopes of winning Colton’s love. From the second all the ladies made their entrance you had already chosen your favorites. You knew for sure who you’d be rooting for this season, and probably a few backups just in case your real favorite didn’t get a rose.
Just like with your favorites, you also have to decide who you definitely do not want to see Colton end up with by the end of the season. We all have our likes and dislikes, and this season certainly brought an array of ladies to the table to choose from. Even though you don’t really know them, you feel like you do and of course, you have a right to this very valid opinion.
By episode 2 you don’t even understand why these people have chosen to go through this process. You couldn’t be more confused as to how or why anyone decides to do this, and some of the contestants on the show leave you shocked. You’re also confused as to why you continue to put yourself through this every week, but like I said before, you’re in it for the long hall now.
After watching some of the contestants actions and seeing what they’re willing to do to get Colton’s attention, you are in disbelief. You can barely accept that what is taking place is real, and you have a hard time imagining what life for these people must be like after the season is over. Is this real life? Is this real love? Is Colton really a virgin? Has this girl seriously never been kissed? What is happening? You don’t know anymore.
Would it even be a proper Bachelor viewing if you didn’t end up screaming in anger at the television screen when Colton gives his final rose to that one girl that you can’t stand?! You’re outraged that he’s so oblivious, and you can’t stand to see who keeps getting those roses at the end of the night. Like just get out of here already!
Like I said, even if you think you only watch this show for fun, you’re wrong. It’s hooked you in, and you can’t escape it. You’re now emotionally invested in the choices that Colton makes, and you feel for some of these ladies. You just want them to find love, and you’re ready to see them take the next step.
Can you even get through an episode of the Bachelor without a bottle of wine? Probably not, and you shouldn’t even try.
You’re wondering if it’s normal to be jealous of these contestants, you want Colton to hand you that rose! Pretty soon you’ll be holding your own rose ceremonies and tbh who would blame you?
At this point, you’ve probably done the research to find out how to apply to be on The Bachelor, and you’re ready to send in your application. Anything for that rose.
It’s absolutely amazing to see how much drama can really take place in a two-hour long segment, and with everyone on their own journey to find love, you’re completely hooked. There’s nothing like some good old fashioned drama to keep you coming back for more.
