10 Snacks To Bring For An Epic Picnic

When the weather’s nice and the sun is out that means it’s time for a picnic. Picnics are always an easy idea to plan in your head, but figuring out what food to pack is another story. To help you figure out what to pack here’s 10 snacks to bring for an epic picnic:

1. Strawberries

If you ever find yourself on a picnic date make sure you have strawberries. Strawberries are healthy and delicious, plus they’re an aphrodisiac and extremely romantic snack to bring. An epic picnic date practically requires strawberries. 

2. Watermelon

Nothing quite says picnic like some slices of watermelon on a warm afternoon, and if you’re ever picnicking without it chances are you’re doing it wrong. Nothing can go wrong with a healthy snack that tastes amazing and in order for your picnic to be epic watermelon has to be on the menu.

3. Hot Dogs:

The most difficult part about picnicking with hotdogs is keeping them warm, however, if you have means to keep them warm they are a picnic essential. Hotdogs are nice and light, taste great, and are perfect for an outdoor setting. 

4. Apples

The key to any picnic is some sort of fruit or vegetable to stay in the spirit of being outside, and nothing quite does the job like a fresh, juicy apple. The crunch and sweet flavor of an apple can make a picnic just that much more enjoyable, and is definitely an essential to bring with you on any picnic.

5. Sandwiches

The logistics of bringing hot food on a picnic are complicated so a sandwich is a great option to fill your meal. Sandwiches take just minutes to make, aren’t messy, and can be just about any flavor ranging from peanut butter and jelly to bologna. A sandwich is the perfect picnic snack for any scenario. 

6. Salad

When you’re already outside, the fresh flavors of a salad will make you feel right at home and like you came straight from the garden. If you’re having trouble deciding what to bring along with you on your picnic consider making a salad. A salad takes little time to prepare, doesn’t require heat, and is a delicious way to stay healthy while picnicking. 

7. Pasta Salad

Salad is tasty, but is a common food to make. If you’re looking to change things up next time for your picnic, make a pasta salad. A pasta salad is another healthy option but with a bit less vegetables and more delicious pasta flavor; Plus with pasta salad you can always get creative about what flavors you decide to add to it.

The sweet taste of corn on the cob is arguably one of the greatest classic summer flavors known to mankind. It’s never a bad time to shuck some corn, give it a quick grill, and bring it along with you for an ideal picnic. 

9. Cole Slaw

Cole slaw will always be a classic, but it tastes even better when eaten outside. It’s perfect for a picnic and serves as a great compliment to hotdogs, hamburgers, and almost any type of meaty meal. 

10. Lemonade

Nothing quite quenches thirst on a summer day like the sweet, tangy flavor of an ice cold glass of lemonade. Lemonade is perfect to pack with a picnic and goes well with any type of food. Your only problem with lemonade will be running out too quickly.
