Summer sales are in full swing! And with so many styles at the best prices of the year, choosing which ones to go with is half the battle. But knowing what will be trendy a year from now in 2015 is key! Will neon tops still rock the night life? Will the wave of crop tops and high waist shorts take a backseat or continue to top the fashion food chain?
The advice from our style editor is to stock up on fun prints that you can pair up with basics.
Florals have been huge this summer! I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many daisies at one BBQ.
A rule of thumb for floral prints: if they’re in bloom in the gardens, they’re in full swing in the stores! So stock up on a few last floral finds for this spring and next year too! Skirts, dresses, and rompers with bright or pastel florals are youthful and flirty. Go for something dainty and comfortable to match with the easy-going feel of summer.
Pair a sun dress with simple sandals or find a pair of pointed flats with a fun floral print! Florals are great because of the many colors and matching potential!
Okay, before we get any more tongue tied…
Aztec prints are big this year as well. Sweaters, skirts and bathing suits all in funky, unique tribal patterns. Aztec is great to add an interesting pop to a basic top or beach outfit.
Find Aztec prints for your next concert or music festival, or pair an oversized, Aztec sweater with a simple white tank, dark wash jeans, and basic flats for a day of classes or a night at a friend’s. Go for bright colors and neon for an electric vibe, or more earthy neutral tones for a boho-chic look.
Happy shopping fashionistas!
