10 Salad Recipes To Help Mix Up Your Typical Healthy Meal

It can be hard to stick to healthy eating, especially when you feel like you’ve been eating the same grilled chicken and veggies or salad over and over for weeks. It also can be hard to stick to a healthy eating regimen if you are not a fan of vegetables. With these 10 salad recipes that are sure to liven up your everyday healthy meal, you will never have to be shackled with a boring salad again. Trust me it can be done. If I can do it, you can too.

1. Apple Pecan Salad:

If you’re into sweet and a little bit savory salads like I am, then you will love this apple pecan salad. Filled with cranberries, greens of your choice, feta cheese, a sweet fruit dressing, and of course apples and pecans. This salad is sure to delight your sweet tooth while remaining a healthy choice for lunch or dinner. You could also add more nuts or chicken strips to this salad in order to add more protein to your diet which would keep you fuller longer.

2.  Cranberry Blueberry Salad:

I love fruit. I also love salads that also incorporate fresh fruit, and this cranberry blueberry salad has a lot of what I look for in a filling meal. Dark greens are mixed with dried cranberries, mandarin oranges, cucumbers, juicy blueberries, and sunflower seeds. This salad is also covered with a fruity dressing that will be sure to delight everyone at the dinner table, most importantly you. Other kinds of seeds or nuts like pecans or walnuts would also be amazing on this salad for a little extra crunch and flavor.

For a salad that makes chicken and the superfood of the decade the stars, go for this Avocado chicken salad. A big bowl of this salad for lunch will keep you full until dinner. This is an interesting salad that also really lets the ingredients speak for themselves. Plus, this is a high protein meal with the chickpeas and avocados while also being completely vegetarian. Just add some herbs, salt, pepper, and lime juice to combine everything together and a little more flavor.

If you’re looking for an especially sweet tasting take on the typical healthy meal, then try this strawberry fields salad recipe. This salad typically starts with a bed of dark greens like spinach or romaine lettuce and is then topped with pecans, croutons, a light crumble of feta cheese and a fruity vinaigrette. Of course, it’s loaded to the brim with strawberries. However, the bite of red onions and the little bit of starch and saltiness from the croutons stop it from being too sweet while still satisfying the dessert lover on a diet.

Shrimp is delicious. I know a lot of people don’t like shrimp or any seafood at all but I love it. It’s also healthy for you and low calorie so you can eat as much of it as you want. That is not entirely true, but that is what I tell myself. This salad is also blessed with a delicious dressing, tomatoes, and avocados. Yes, I also really love avocados as well. With this amazing and healthy salad, I think I can turn you onto shrimp and avocados, too.
