Okay! Here we are, ready to rank all of the best frappuccino flavors at Starbucks.
But instead of putting them in by number I’m going to do it by category.
I’m also not going to include the most basic flavors like coffee or mocha because while they are good they’re basic (I mean, they literally are the base for many of the other drinks on here).
Ready? Let’s go!
The thing about the seasonal flavors at Starbucks is that they often change from year to year (or from place to place!). If you’re a big fan of Pumpkin Spiced Lattes on Ice or the famous Peppermint Mocha, I’m unfortunately not putting them on the list as neither really tickles my particular fancy, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be on your personal top frappe list.
If you’re into caramel frappucinos in general, then the Christmas caramel brulée frappe is the way to go. Deliciously sweet, with a little bit of that holiday twist, it’s something that’s sure to get you into the Christmas spirit.
This is my personal favorite holiday drink that I’ve got in the US (which is similar to the Toffee Nut Latte, my favourite holiday drink I got in the UK). I can’t even describe what makes it so good, it just tastes like a little Christmas magic.
It’s not really a question sometimes of how good a drink is, so much as how good it looks. Sure, you can take those pics of those tan looking drinks again and again, but don’t you think you’d get more likes if that drink was shining with every color of the rainbow??
The OG multicolored beverage was the Unicorn Frappe, released in April 2017 and promised a flavor-changing experience and the colors of the bisexual flag. It was bold, beautiful and kind of controversial. Yummy.
Welcome to 2019, the summer of tie-dye, red blue and yellow dye, fruit flavoring and a whole lot of sprinkles and whipped cream. While it is creme based, meaning there isn’t any coffee or caffeine, the sheer amount of sugar is bound to give your heart a kick.
If you don’t want any of those super sweet experiences but are still hoping for something on the instagrammable side, here are some takes on the classic creme and coffee-based beverages that you can try.
Okay, before matcha tea lovers yell at me, I just have to preface this by saying its not for me. That doesn’t mean it isn’t good, however, and plenty of matcha lovers are smitten with this frappe. It’s green and it means business.
Mixing the classic flavors of coffee and vanilla together, you get the delicious Caffe Vanilla Frappe. Okay, so maybe this is just a fancy way of saying it’s a blended vanilla latte. That doesn’t mean it’s not special in my heart, okay?!
These drinks aren’t here to mess around. Filled with whipped cream, marshmallow fluff, fudge and caramel and all sorts of toppings, they’re some of the more expensive (and yummy) drinks on the menu, but boy, are they worth it. We’re here for a good time, not a long time, amirite?
Oh, you thought mocha frappes were the epitome of all things chocolate and coffee? Think again! Coming in coffee (mocha) or creme (chocolate) bases, this cookie crumble frappe is really like drinking your dessert. No complaints here.
If you’re a fan of caramel macchiatos, this is the winner, no question. I can’t lie, I love a good crunch, so the topping also really makes this drink for me. Personally, I’d recommend mixing the bottom in with the rest of the drink if you find it too sweet, otherwise drink for a whipped cream surprise!
Nothing says summer quite like smores, and Starbucks got that right. With marshmallow and chocolate and a smoky taste to feel like you’ve toasted your ‘mallows over an open fire, this frappe will make you feel like you’re camping with your buddies.
