A Ring

So, you bought a ring for your wife before your planned proposal and you want to make sure she doesn’t find it. One of the best places to hide something is in a salt shaker. Simply unscrew the cap, drop the ring in, and shake it around a little till you can’t see the ring anymore. As an added bonus, even if the diamond in the ring becomes visible for a second or two when your soon to be wife uses the shaker, she’ll think it’s just the salt! Another great spot to hide a ring is in a bag of flour. No one ever touches a bag of flour except to make a cake, so odds are the ring will remain hidden until you’re ready to propose!

An Important Document

One day, as you’re checking the mail, an important document arrives that you don’t want anyone else to see. Perhaps you’re trying to surprise someone and, if they see the document, it’ll ruin the big moment. Out of the many places to hide something like this, one of the most creative is to tape the document on the upper side of a ceiling fan blade. Pretty smart, right? Medication is another good thing to hide if you think that someone is going to take it if it’s left out. While the bathroom cupboard is usually adequate to hide pills from young children, it will not fool adults who are trying to ingest things they shouldn’t. That’s why placing your medication in an unused bag of kitty litter is one of the most ideal places to put something as small and potentially dangerous as pills when you’re not home. Kitty litter is usually stored in a darkened closet surrounded by lots of junk on shelves so, if someone were looking for hidden medication, the would (naturally) search the cluttered shelves while your medication stays safe in the kitty litter below.

A Key

Is there a room, box, or another important thing somewhere in your house that requires a key to open? If so, where do you hide the key? It can be hard to find places to hide something so important without forgetting where you put it. A unique hiding place like in a potted plant will help you remember where the key is. To dig a proper hole which won’t be discovered by lightly scraping the top of the dirt or watering the plant, make sure to dig a really big hole.
