Top 5 Makeup Routines Under 10 Minutes

Makeup routines: every girl, whether 15 or 45, usually doesn’t complete her morning without it. Even though everyone loves leaving the house with a flawless finish, glossy lips and dark eyelashes, not everyone has the time, especially before work or school. These are the top 5 makeup routines under 10 minutes, so you can still press snooze, and still, walk out the door feeling confident, (and on time!) One important rule of thumb when choosing your morning makeup in a rush, is which products you can and cannot live without. So, if you’re surviving on just 4 hours of sleep from the night before, maybe concealer and mascara are your go-to. Or maybe you’ve just broken out because its that time of the month and you have a big meeting with your boss today, then maybe you’re looking for full coverage. Whatever you’re a dilemma, we’ve got you covered: just think of you’re favorite makeup that you cannot live without, and let’s get started. A lot of makeup routines are in-depth and lengthy, not this one.

1. Conceal, Powder, Mascara, Gloss, GO!

So, we’ve got ten minutes to prep you for your 8 hour day. Out of all the makeup routines, this one is surely the quickest. For this makeup routine, you won’t need too much. First, concealer is going to be your best friend in this process, and some of my favorites, (any concealer will do), is ‘Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer’, and ‘Maybelline Fit Me Concealer’. This will provide essential coverage in your most desired areas – under the eyes, blemishes, etc. (This will take one minute or less). Next step, powder. One of the best products for full coverage that I swear by is the ‘Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder’. With your tool of choice, (sponge, brush), simply cover your entire face with powder to set the concealer. (1 minute or less). Okay, we have 8 minutes left in our routine. Let’s move on to mascara. Any favorite mascara will suffice, but my all-time favorite is ‘Estee Lauder Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara’. Sweep a couple of coats on the top lashes and bottom. Moving on to the last step, lip color. Any type of lipstick or lip gloss will perfect this final step and finalize your makeup look. And now you have a couple of minutes to spare!

2. Glam Look

Okay, so you are the type of gal who likes their sleep, and their makeup. (I don’t blame you!) Not to panic, you can still get that perfect look in 10 minutes or less. A lot of makeup routines traditionally posted usually use far more makeup than 10 minutes allows. The first step is to start with a clean face, obviously. After you’ve moisturized, and allowed 1 minute or so for that to try, grab your favorite foundation. Mine is Estee Lauder Double Wear, (now my secret is out), and I have been using it for over three years. Now, with a sponge or your tool of choice, simply apply 1-2 layers all over the face and neck. This should only take 2 minutes or so. With the 7 minutes remaining, (this step is optional), depending on what type of coverage you prefer, I would follow the foundation with a powder. This will provide all-day wear without feeling like you’re wearing 5 pounds of makeup. Next, grab your favorite blush and sweep it over the cheekbones. At this point, we have probably 5 minutes or so left. Grab eye shadow, eyeliner, or highlighter, and take a minute or two to apply your favorites. Lastly, sweep a couple coats over your upper and lower lashes, and RUN!

3. Cut Corners, Look Great

For this next makeup routine, you surely will be done in 10 minutes, most likely even less. This makeup look is going to be your go-to for any day. To start, you’ll need any tinted lip balm, (Burts Bees, Baby lips), concealer of choice, eye shadow, eyelash curler, and mascara. The first step is quickly applying the concealer anywhere you find you need it most: under the eyes, blemishes, etc. Next, give your lashes some volume by curling them 1-2 times prepping them for mascara. Next, with the mascara apply 1-2 coats. And this is where we get to the kill two birds with one stone portion of the look: with your tinted lip balm, simply sweep it across your cheekbones as well as over your lips – and blend accordingly. Its quick, efficient, and you’ll look like a model from a magazine in just a few minutes.

4. Eye Makeup Must-Haves

This makeup routine is for those who cannot leave the house without eye makeup. Hey, no judgment, here to help! First, an optional step is to apply a thin layer of foundation followed by blush. In the remainder 8 or so minutes, we want to make sure we perfect our eyes since those will be the center of attention today. First, grab a nude color eyeshadow and sweep it across your lid. In the crease, grab any color that will subtly stand out, (gold, light brown, anything with sparkles), and gently sweep it in the crease of your eyelid. Next for this makeup routine, we are going to apply a thin layer of gel eyeliner on the top of the eyelid. Since this makeup routine is all about eyes, we then are going to grab a color eye pencil, (light blue, white), and glide it gently on our bottom lash line. With the remainder 1-3 minutes, grab your favorite mascara and apply a coat to the top and bottom lash.

5. Bronze, girl, Bronze

For this last makeup routine, we’ll be sure to have you glowing and still won’t exceed 10 minutes. For this makeup routine, you will need, bronzer, highlighter, blush, foundation, and mascara. Let’s start off by applying no more than 1 thin layer of foundation, which shouldn’t take longer than a minute. Next, this is where the bronze comes out, in your hand or somewhere close by the makeup, mix up / combine the highlighter and the bronzer, (break off a piece of each), and glide across your upper cheekbones. On the temples, you will just apply the bronzer. Next, just below the highlighter lightly sweep the blush of your choice. Second to last, use only the highlighter to go down your nose. LAST, you can apply 1-2 coats of mascara.
