Major Essentials You Need In Your College Bookbag

If you are an upcoming freshman in college, it can be hard to determine what you will need for the next school year. This can be harder in college because you do not get a customized supply list, like how it is in high school. You can find a few lists online, but like most things, it is easy to be overwhelmed with all the information that the internet tends to throw at you. It can be quite hard to decide what you need, especially when you think about the cost, availability of certain items, etc.  This article will showcase all the important essentials that one may need in order to be successful.

1. At least one binder

No matter how many classes you are taking, it is best to have at least one binder. It is possible to place at least 4 classes into one 1-inch binder. The best way to keep your subjects organized and separated is by using dividers to split up your classes into sections. Or you could use folders to separate each subject and use the dividers to subdivide assignments and homework from one particular subject. The link will provide you with 4 binders, which can give you enough binders for your entire college career. They are also available super cheap at any store, like Target or Wal-Mart.

2. Folder for all your homework/study materials

This is also a great tip for school. To stay organized, it is best to keep your study materials and homework in a completely separate folder. This will prevent you from missing your assignments, because you have all the important assignments that you are likely to grab every day in one single folder.

3. Pencil pouch for all your pens/pencils

Do not be that person in every class that’s scrambling for a pencil or pen. You should aim to have a “home” for every item in your bookbag, just like how you do in your room. The idea of a pencil pouch is to hold all your important writing utensils. Keeping items like this organized will be very beneficial to you in the long run.

Being a college student means that a lot of the times your mornings are going to be super hectic. As a result, some of your beauty routines will be forgotten in the morning. Carrying a travel size body cream or lotion will really help out. This way you can be moisturized and still get to where you need to go on time.

This is another precaution you can take because I will guarantee there will be multiple times where you will forget to put on deodorant. There’s nothing worse than recognizing to smell of your own pits when you are on the way to class. To avoid that embarrassment, make sure to buy a small travel size deodorant to pack in your backpack.

6. Self- cleaning Water bottle

Something that nobody tells you is that college requires a whole lot of walking. In order to meet the physical demands of going from class to class, you should really invest in a water bottle. It would also be great to invest in a self-cleaning water bottle. A self- cleaning water bottle uses UV-light to cleans and sterilizes itself from bacteria and viruses.

Highlighters are important for note-taking. You can use these to emphasize certain words or phrases that you need to stand out in your notes. Highlighters can also be used on your study guides or other studying materials that you use in college. If you are able to own your own textbook, you can highlight certain words or phrases that you know will be on the test or that are important for you to complete other assignments in your class.

Lugging around a heavy laptop is not the move when you have to walk to and from different buildings to get to class. A tablet is a great thing for you to carry in your college backpack. Tablets are essentially more compact laptops that you can carry around. In order to keep it safe, you should also invest in a case to keep the tablet safe in your bag.
