Whether you’ve traveled to Hong Kong, are thinking about going, or maybe even if you are from there, there are certain snacks everyone knows and loves. From egg waffles that are almost too cute to eat, to fish balls on a stick that are nowhere near adorable, keep reading for 15 Hong Kong snacks you should definitely try.

1. Egg Waffles

This puffy, cake-like waffle is a very traditional Hong Kong treat. The snack has now popped up around the US, like these egg waffle cones!

2. Egg Tarts

These classic tarts are simple to make and so delicious! You can be sure to find these at every bakery in Hong Kong.

5. Pineapple Buns

This sweet bun is a favorite in Hong Kong and Chinatowns across the US. Despite its name, there is no actual pineapple in pineapple buns! Its name actually comes from the rippled way they look when they come out of the oven.

6. White Sugar Cake

This street food is not your typical cake. White sugar cake is something you have to taste to believe, as it is steamed instead of baked.
