Here are some of the not-your-typical and hidden coffee shops in Chicago that you should try!

Hero Coffee

Located on the iconic Jackson Avenue, Hero Coffee is quite literally a hidden coffee shop! In a tight little alley, you will arrive at the prettiest coffee shop ever with strung lights and a big lit COFFEE sign you cant miss! Perfect for pretty pics, this is also a gem when it comes to authentic, Chicago based coffee you will die for!

Fairgrounds

With multiple locations all over the city, Fairgrounds is by far one of the best up and coming coffee chains! With many varieties of coffee on tap, you can order any kind of brew you would like and make it into a latte, macchiato you name it! Basically it is like a built your own coffee and it is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend their dark roast mocha with oatmilk!

Werewolf

If you want something sparkly and pretty this is the place to go! Werewolf is a super hidden coffee shop on Elston Avenue and it is the only one of its kind. They tend to sell Metropolis based coffee but they have their own takes on lattes such as the charcoal latte and sweet beet latte! Get ready to take those white girl pictures!

Goddess and The Baker

Absolutely heavenly, Goddess definitely lives up to its’ name! With all kinds of unique lattes, each and every one is absolutely delicious! Be sure to try them all like the apple butter oat latter, glitter gold latte, strawberry matcha, mayan mocha, and more! They also have seasonal coffees like the rainbow latte that you have to try! Yummy, beautiful, and crazy amazing for pictures.

Metropolis

Another Chicago based coffee chain, Metropolis does not fail to disappoint! With a very full, clean, rich, and roasty flavor and quality, Metropolis coffee is always a strong competitor. You can never go wrong with any of their products. You can also buy in store now! Be sure to try their iced coffees when coming in- you are guaranteed a rich flavor and strong boost for the day!

Dollop

With about 14 coffee shops in the Chicago area, Dollop is a very unique, hidden coffee place that not many know about but it is just lovely and highly delicious. Dollop roasts its own coffee and you can try all sorts of unique flavors such as lavender! Everything about the place from the look, flavors, and quality, Dollop is a great place to check out if you’re looking for something new!
