This is a great opportunity to sift threw a thrift shop or vintage store, you will be able to find a super cool flannel shirt. There are an abundance of different tones you can choose from, all of which will look amazing no matter how you style them. Another great thing about getting a flannel shirt that is vintage or from a thrift shop is that it will be worn down, so it will be thinner. This makes it perfect for layering, and super easy if you want to tie it around your waist. Get ready to fall in love with flannel!

If you are a little nervous about styling flannel, layering it is a great way to start. Throw it underneath a denim jacket, leather jacket, or any other jacket of your choosing. If you want a little more of a preppy look you can wear it underneath a knitted jumper and expose the collar. As long as the colour is muted you won’t feel so self-conscious, especially if you are a little nervous to wear flannel. Keep in mind that the less comfortable you are with flannel, just show less of it, simple. If all else fails, wear it with confidence and no one will think twice.
