Golden Globes: Best & Worst Dressed

The 70th Annual Golden Globes 2013 had us squealing for excitement! Many actresses made bold statements this year on the red carpet. The color trend included reds, nudes, and whites while some of our favorite celebrities teased us with pretty details and cutouts. Check out our picks for best and worst dressed at the 2013 Golden Globes.

Best Dressed

Jessica Alba in Oscar de la Renta- Loving this glamorous look with this lovely presenter! The mango mermaid dress is so flattering on Jessica, especially against her olive complexion. On top of this, her jewels and hair really pulled this glamorous look together. If she wasn’t walking on the red carpet, we’d picture her wooing lost captains at sea as a beautiful mermaid.

Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen– Stunning in black! The blonde actress made such a sensational entrance with a conservative and yet sexy dress. The keyhole cutout and gold detail on her waistline and neck transforms a little black dress to something eye catching.

Claire Danes in Versace – New mom and Homeland actress looked magnificent. Itwas hard to believe that she only gave birth to baby Cyrus a few weeks ago. This dress was spot on with the bold red statement as well as wrap effect. Any woman wearing a wrap effect will create a lovely hour glass figure.

Worst dressed

Halle Barry in Atelier Versace– This Oscar-winner really was lost in this pick. It seemed like she tried everything in this dress, from print to major cutouts. It was a total flop. We expected more from Halle Barry. Maybe next year, she will decide one detail over the other.

Lena Dunham in Zac Posen– Girls director and actress opted for a governess look. As a young starlit, she shouldn’t be wearing such a dark and heavy dress. We love her pixie hair cut though.

Jessica Chastain in Calvin Klein – The Zero Dark Thirty actress wore a seafoam color halter which is beautiful against her red locks. However, the baggy halter had us questioning the entire look. Did her tailor forget to tighten that part up? Also, her hair didn’t really make the look come together. She was definitely flopping as a lost mermaid at sea.
