1. When you want everyone to stop yelling at you in Speaker’s Circle

More often than not when you’re passing through Speaker’s Circle every club, apartment complex, and member of Greek life is standing there waiting to hand you something. Or just yell in your face to donate to their cause. If you go to the University of Missouri sometimes you just wan’t to scream for them all to stop as you run by.

2. When you’re the one yelling at everyone in Speaker’s Circle

On the odd chance that you’re not avoiding Speaker’s Circle at all costs. You’re right in the middle of it, trying to get every person that passes by to take your flyer. So, if you happen to be that person, this is exactly what you look like.

3. Not taking advantage of Reading Day for finals then hating yourself after

Everyone who goes to the University of Missouri has been there, it is the last Friday before finals and all classes are canceled. It’s reading day and you should really be studying. But instead you go party and you’re forced to face yourself in the mirror the next day.

 

4. Braving the winter wind

The University of Missouri might be the flattest place in America, and where there are no hills to stop it, the wind is unbearable. When it’s 30 degrees and the wind is blowing a million miles an hour, every student is forced to walk to class with their heads down and bundled up all the way to their ears.

5. Going to your discussion and having to admit to your TA you don’t understand the lecture at all

Everyone has had at least one of those classes that only has about 20 people in it and is aimed towards further explaining the lecture. Well, this was all of us once we went to those discussions and had to tell the TA we did not know a single thing that was happening.

6. Going to Shakespeare’s after a hard days work

Anyone who goes to the University of Missouri knows that Shakespeare’s is some of the ultimate comfort food. We’ve all felt this way when we’ve had a slice of Shakespeare’s pizza after having a particularly rough day.

7. The first time you go to the rec and you don’t actually know what you’re doing

You walk into the rec and it is so amazing, but also intimidating. So, you go to the first machine you see and try to look like you know exactly what you’re doing and like you’re not struggling at all (even though you totally are).

8. Lounging in the hot tub because you totally deserve it after that workout

After all that working out, or at least attempting to work out, nothing is better than sitting in the hot tub at the Grotto. It’s especially nice when you’re just treating yourself for the heck of it.

 

9. Accidentally spending all your money at the student center

The Student Center has everything you could ever need and anyone who goes to the University of Missouri knows it. It’s pay day and you decide to buy that shirt you’ve been eyeing for a while, but you accidentally bought that shirt plus 10 others and some sushi from Sunshine Sushi.

10. Being so excited the whole month of October because it’s Homecoming

Anyone who goes to Mizzou knows that Homecoming was invented here and the whole month of October is dedicated to it. It’s a really big deal and the only way to handle the excitement is to dance the whole month long.
