Fun Father’s Day Activities Your Whole Family Will Enjoy

Father’s Day is right around the corner and you still don’t know where to start on planning the perfect day to show your Papa just how much you love and appreciate him. Understandable. Now, what you plan and what you do will depend obviously, on your dad and what he likes. Also, on your family and what they like! There should be a guide to finding fun father’s day activities that your whole family can enjoy should be an Olympic sport. It seems difficult to find a list of father’s day activities because every father is different. But, here are some ideas on how to plan a fun father’s day activity your whole family will enjoy!

If you have a younger family, here are some fantastic suggestions for fun father’s day activity your whole family will enjoy:

Finding something for the whole family to be interested in is a feat. But there are some events that will please everyone and make a fun filled father’s day with activities your whole family will enjoy!

Outdoor father’s day activities your whole family will enjoy:

A bike ride on a paved trail is always a fantastic family bonding opportunity. The paved trails make pedaling easy for everyone and every degree of bicycle riding ability. Also, on a nice summer day, a bike ride is a great way to enjoy the weather, be healthy and active and be together! A nice summer day and a fun father’s day activity your whole family will enjoy.

Another option for father’s day activities is going for a walk or a hike. This is completely free and gives you all the opportunity to explore somewhere new and explore as a family. This one has the same sentiment as above but is handy if you don’t have a car to fit bikes for your whole family! This is an awesome option for a  fun father’s day activity your whole family will enjoy.

Indoor father’s day activities your whole family will enjoy:

I know what you are thinking! These are both outdoor father’s day activities and what if it rains! An indoor activity the whole family could enjoy would be laser tagging, bowling or even going to see a show or a game. All of these options don’t have to be super expensive but allow for a few hours of fun! If your dad likes sports, try to find a game the whole family would like to go to. Baseball may be a good option. If your dad enjoys concerts, look for a good concert!

If your family is particularly artsy (or not) you can try to make a craft as a family! Either as a present for your dad or an activity with your dad, this can be sentimental and enjoyable! Anything with hand prints or foot prints is a great place to start! This is a young family friendly fun father’s day activity your whole family is sure to enjoy!

If you have an older family (i.e no kids) here are some suggestions for fun father’s day activities your whole family will enjoy:

Breweries are all the rage these days and for good reason (especially for cool father’s day activities). I can guarantee that no matter where you live if you type “brewery” into Google, at least 20 results will pop up. Breweries are fun for beer drinkers and non-beer drinkers. Many are equipped with games, food trucks and events like live music. Do a little bit of research and this could be a top-notch Father’s Day activity your whole family will enjoy.

Along the same wavelength, there are always great wineries. Though this option is a little more expensive, it can be really nice if the weather is great and your dad likes great wine. Every winery is different so do your research and see what each in your area has to offer! Wineries are a fantastic choice for a fun father’s day activity your whole family will enjoy.

Ax throwing is another quality suggestion. I know it sounds a little barbaric but it is actually a rustically classy event! Many places are BYOB and advertise game nights and friendly competitions. Having a good group to go with changes everything too. A bigger group of people, perhaps other families and dads, means more throwing and more competition! Try and get a group of your dads friends together! This will be a fun father’s day activity your whole family and some friends will enjoy.

Most of the decision will be knowing your dad and what he likes. If he likes to go golfing, plan the trip ahead of time. There are a lot of golf courses that you can choose from depending on where your family lives. Fun father’s day activities for the whole family mean finding the right course with the right amenities. Though it may be something that he would have done himself, the planning could be the gift! Have your family take care of everything, the golf cart, the drinks the snacks whatever! This will be a great family time and a fun father’s day activity your whole family will enjoy!

Things you can do no matter how old your family is for fun father’s day activities your whole family will enjoy:

Though some of these can work no matter what age your family is, one that always works is making your Father’s favorite meal. This is the day to go all out with all the trimmings! Lobster, crab, pancakes in bed, chili, whatever your father likes, today is the day to prepare it and sit down to have a meal together as a family! People have been gathering around food for centuries and it is the oldest way to bond as a family! So get to cooking! This is a fun father’s day activity your whole family will enjoy!

Scrap booking is a way to preserve some fun family memories and also do an activity together. For father’s day you can definitely compile some of the best pictures from your family history so far and put them in a book to catalog some family history! This is something you can all do together that will have a dual purpose! Another amazing fun father’s day activity your whole family will enjoy!

Fun father’s day activities your whole family will enjoy can be as extravagant or simple as your family wants! Water sports and activities are always great because your family can either be all in or sit on the beach and read a book and everyone will be happy! Paddle boarding, fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boats are just some of the water side attractions! Water side fun father’s day activity your whole family will enjoy are going to be key as your families grow and change!

Along the same line as water sports would be planning a nice meal for afterwards. Most waterside places have grills that you can rent or use for free. You can bring steak, s’mores, potatoes and whatever else and you have yourself a nice meal after a long day in the sun. This would appease all members of the family meaning that would be a fun father’s day activity your whole family will enjoy!

Again, having the perfect Father’s Day with your whole family depends on what your whole family likes! It won’t be easy to find fun father’s day activities your whole family will enjoy but having a happy medium or a compromise that appeases everyone will help you make your fun father’s day full of activities that your whole family will enjoy!
