A great tip for starting out is to always have a good base for your eyeshadow like concealer or eye primer. This way your eyeshadow pops every time. There are a lot of different eyeshadow looks you can do that are super simple for beginners to learn and will help you get started in learning how to do makeup in a way that makes you feel beautiful. 

1. Single Color

This look is super easy to achieve because all you’ll need is one color and a good base. Start with a white eye base or a light concealer all over your lid then set with translucent powder. Once the base is set down you can take the color and pat it down all over your eyelid. Build up color by continuously picking up more and patting it in with a flat brush. Take a blending brush with a nude color to blend out the edges so the lines aren’t so harsh. If you want the harsher look then skip the blending. 

2. Basic Shimmer

This eyeshadow look is very simple and elegant. Take a good base like a concealer and apply it all over your lid then set with translucent powder. Now take a base color eyeshadow like a nude or skin tone color and blend that into your eyelid. This will create a good layer for your shadows to pop. Now take a color a few shades darker than your skin tone and blend that into the crease of your eyelid. Taking a flat brush or even your finger, start patting in a pale shimmery color all over the lid. Now you’ve got a basic shimmer look that’s perfect for a nice night out or a chill party.

3. Taped Wing

Even the experienced makeup artists do this trick because it’s just so easy and makes achieving the look super simple. All you’ll need is some tape. First, apply your base of concealer or eyeshadow base then set with powder. Take a piece of tape and line it up with your bottom lash leading to the end of your eyebrow. With a blending brush starting blending your desired color along your eyelid and against the tape to really saturate the color. If there are blank patches then take a flat brush and pat in the color where the patches are. Pull off the tape and reveal your perfectly cut eyeshadow wing. You can do this trick with eyeliner too to get the perfect wing every time.

4. Two Colored

This eyeshadow look is for someone who is looking for a more fun look. Apply a white cream base on your eyelid and set that with translucent powder. Blend your main color like you typically would for your regular eyeshadow looks. Now for a fun and bold look take a different bright color. 8. All Glitter Look

Take a base cream like concealer or a white base and set it with a bright eyeshadow color. Take some lash glue and apply that onto your eyelid. Quickly taking three different eye-safe glitters pat the glitter in separate spaces. They will lead to a sort of rainbow ombre. Allow the glue and glitter to dry before fully opening your eyes and now you’ve got a fun party-ready eye look.

Take a skin tone color and blend that into your crease for a transition color. Then with an eyeshadow color that is a few shades darker than your skin tone blend that into your crease. Build up color by using darker browns still it’s a darker brown. Apply some concealer onto your eyelid and set that with the skin tone eyeshadow. Then with a flat brush grab your favorite shimmer colors like a nude shimmer or a gold one. Blend some brown onto the edge of the shimmer to have them blended into the eye look. For a fun pop take the shimmer and apply it to your inner corner or on your lower lash line.
