Date Ideas For Lovers In Central Ohio

Whether you are planning a first date or a date with someone you have been with for years, I’ve compiled a list of amazing date ideas all around Central Ohio! These dates are not your typical movie and dinner date, don’t worry.  These date ideas are designed for you to get to know each other better, break the ice, or just have fun together and form enchanting experiences! Follow below for eight ideas you probably would have never thought to do!

The Candle Lab and dinner in the Short North

The Candle Lab is a candle store located in the Short North that you can either buy candles or make a custom one!  You two can choose your favorite scents and made anything from hand soap, bubble bath salt, etc…  It’s so fun and only costs around $20.  Once you have made your candle and are waiting for it to settle, you two have about an hour to kill with dinner at one of the fabulous restaurants in the Short North!  I highly recommend Forno ;).

Bar hop around the Short North!

The Short North is filled with TONS of interesting and fun bars.  North High Street is such a convenient place to bar hop at.  There are easily more than 10 bars to fulfill your crawl, so grab a couple of friends or another couple to tag along!  Most of these bars have cool signature drinks and snacks to try as well.  Forno has their spiked strawberries and cotton candy martini.  The Pint House has booze push pops, and Standard Hall has they boozy popsicles!  All of it is amazing, and there are soooo many more bars that I haven’t even mentioned.  It’s honestly such a fun environment that you guys are guaranteed to have a blast!

The Columbus Zoo & Zoombezibay

At any age, who doesn’t love the zoo?!  The Columbus Zoo is the 2nd largest zoo in America, so you know its worth the hype.  Walk around the zoo to see the animals, and if it’s summer, go to Zoombezibay!  No need to feel out of place because there are people of all ages that come here to cool off.  Plus, the slides are huge, so you will definitely get a thrill.  Oh, and should I mention that there is alcohol there? 😉

Sur La Table Cooking Classes

Sur La Table is a chain retailer for a variety of upscale cooking and dining supplies located at Easton.  You may also do cooking classes here!  Cooking classes are generally around $85 a person for a date night, but it’s a fun experience and a meal all in one!  You can check out their class calendar on their website, and they have a variety of themed classes such as Best of Thanksgiving food courses, holidat bread workshops, take and bake pie classes, and so much more!

Wanna do something outside?

Download the Lime or Bird app and take a trip to the Columbus Scioto Mile.  There are handfuls of electric scooters and bikes around, so it shouldn’t be a problem finding one.  Ride along the river and enjoy the view!  After you two have had fun with that, go eat at the Milestone 229, which is a gorgeous restaurant that overlooks the beautiful mile you just rode through.
