5 Cute Ways To Display Photos In Your Room

Displaying photos is such an easy and cute way to decorate your room! There are so many ways to display them and getting creative with it is so much fun.

1. Cute Photo Frames

The classic way of displaying photos in a photo frame is classic for a reason. They look so clean and there are so many different types and designs to choose from. There are collage frames where you can display a whole collection of photos, a singular frame for one photo of course, and even frames like one in the picture below that hold several polaroids that you can flip between. This allows you to constantly switch up the photos and gives off a cool, retro vibe in your room. Urban Outfitters sells ones such as the picture below if you have an Instax Mini camera or other variations of polaroid cameras. Amazon is also a great place to look for picture frames, as the site usually offers package deals on sets of multiple frames, plus the two-day shipping for Prime members is just the cherry on top!

2. Polaroid Wall

If you are looking to get a bit more creative with your photo display, then creating your own one of a kind photo wall could be the perfect project for you. Whether you choose to use polaroid photos you have captured and collected or opt for classic photo prints, the options you can experiment with the positioning and shape of the display. You can opt for a classic linear layout or mix it up and arrange your photos in a shape that you like, such as a heart similar to the picture below. Basic clear scotch tape is a good, cheap option to hang up the photos without damaging both the photo and your wall, but I have found that in my experience in hanging photos, using blue tack usually holds up better. Regular tape does not hold the photos up for as long, so if you do not want to keep rehanging them, I would suggest the stronger option of blue tack. It will keep the photos firmly placed in their arrangement on the wall and it is more likely to keep from damaging your walls than the clear tape.

3. Clothes Pins and Twine

My personal favorite option for displaying photos is the more bohemian approach of using clothespins and twine. I used this method in all of my college rooms from the community-style dorm to the more private apartment buildings. It is so easy to set up, does not damage your walls if you opt to use Command hooks instead of traditional nails, and looks super cute which is honestly the best part. If you want to add another element to this simple yet stunning display, add a few strings of fairy lights to the arrangement. This will add some soft lighting to your room that will look incredible at night and create a cozy vibe that you are sure to love. It will make the photos pop off the wall and make it look like you tried harder than you really did on the decorating process. You can find premade sets from places like Dormify, Walmart, Micheals, etc. Or, you can easily DIY this at home with a package of clothespins and a ball of twine.

4. Gallery Wall

A more polished and sleek look can be created by coming up with your own unique gallery wall, complete with good quality prints, photos of you and your loved ones, and nice photo frames to tie it all together.  The number of layout options that you can play with is extensive, from various sizes of photos and frames as well as placement and number of photos. The possibilities are truly endless with a gallery wall. You can go simple with an arrangement like the one pictured below or you can go a little crazy and cover your entire wall with framed art prints, quotes, and photos you love. The color of the frame is an important choice when it comes to bringing the gallery wall together. If you want a dark, sleek feel go for black or silver frames, and if you are leaning towards the bohemian look then opt for gold and brown wooden frames. Like the classic photo frame option discussed previously, Amazon has packs of multiple frames for such a great price. If you are looking to get it done swiftly, I recommend starting there in your search for photo frames.

5. Memo Or Cork Board

Lastly, we have a memo or corkboard option for displaying your photos and other memorabilia.  I had a corkboard in my childhood bedroom and I always loved putting up new photos of my friends and me and pinning postcards or stickers I liked to it. It has such a nostalgic feeling to it and looks great with any kind of room decor. If you like the more modern and minimalist style, I would recommend a metal memo board as seen in the photo, because of its sleek design it won’t look cluttered or take away from the clean look of your room. If you are like me and enjoy the more bohemian, vintage aesthetic, then a corkboard may be a better option for you. The brown of the cork will blend with the wood of your furniture and pull everything together. You can hang it up on your wall, or if you have a desk then you also have the option of simply leaning it up against the wall on top of your desk. No matter if you choose a memo style board or a classic corkboard, this way of displaying your photos has been proven to look so good and makes it super easy to change out your photos at any given time.

Any of these display ideas for your photos are sure to look so cute in your bedroom and bring joy into your space! How do you like to display your photos? Let us know in the comments!
