Memorial Day is right around the corner. Which means we’re officially on the cusp of spring and summer. Sometimes it can be hard trying to figure out what to wear during this time because it’s warm but not warm enough to where you can stop worrying about carrying a jacket. If you’re having a hard time trying to think of cute and festive outfits to celebrate Memorial Day I have compiled a few outfits that will definitely work.
Whether you’re going to a laid back BBQ or you’re celebrating a little fancier there’s an outfit here that will definitely work for you.
If you’re feeling particularly patriotic this Memorial Day consider wearing this red gingham pattern. What’s nice about this outfit is that the pattern can definitely be overbearing but with these complimentary pieces the shirt manages to look casual. Memorial Day is the beginning summer and it’s the time when everyone is breaking out their white pieces. Combine your red gingham shirt with a pair of white cut off denim shorts, white sandals and a nice wide brimmed hat is perfect for a casual picnic.

These shorts are fantastic for a variety of body shapes. They are high waisted which helps pull in a larger waste and helps to also accentuate it. If you have a smaller waist or lack curves the feminine bow will guarantee it gives you curves that you may be craving. You can pair these shorts with a number of tops. For instance you could pair it with a button down shirt and tuck it into the shorts. A crop top, whether it’s fancier or more laid back, will also look good with these shorts. What you do with accessories can really define the outfit. For instance if you wanted this to be more dressy you can add delicate bracelets, a simple necklace and nice sandals. If you want to be edgier you can add a body chain and expose it by unbuttoning your shirt to show it off.

If it’s true what they say that you shouldn’t wear white after Labor Day than Memorial Day is when you should wear all of the white you own. Lean into this holiday by making a big statement in a white dress similar to the one below. The dress has a sweetheart neckline that adds a bit of sexiness to this dress. It’s perfect if you’re planning on spending your Memorial Day at a slightly fancier get together than a basic backyard BBQ.

Another great option is an off the shoulder top. Showing off just your shoulders can add an air of sensuality to your outfit.
