1. Flour Hearts
Know what doesn’t cost too much? A bag of flour! You can make the cutest decorations around your venue my scattering flour hearts all over the stone or concrete paths. All you needs is a bit of flour and a sifter to get the flour to nicely fall on the ground. It doesn’t even have to be hearts. Make a cut out shape in whatever goes with the theme of your wedding. Your guest will love the attention to detail.
2. Candle & Flower Centerpieces
The floating candle and flowers in water look has become very popular in the last few years. You can actually pull off the look without spending a fortune. Head to the Dollar Store and get yourself a few enough glass bowls or glasses to your liking for every table. The day before you can go on a nature walk to relax before the big day and while you walk pick whatever flowers catch your eye. They’ll only take a few minutes to set up on the day of.
3. Sea Shells
When having a beach themed wedding, what is more on theme than sea shells? Go on a nice stroll on the beach with your fiance and pick as many shells as you’d like. All you’ll have to do to get them ready is just give them a soap rinse. You can scatter them over all the tables at the venue. The guest can even take some home for the memories if they like.
4. A Mailbox
Not everyone is going to bring a box they can easily wrap. Some are just gonna give you a nice fat check in a card. You need something cute to put them in. Get an old or cheap mailbox from the store. You can decorate it how ever you wish from anything you find from your local craft store.
5. Painted Wine Bottles
If you are a big wine drinker than you’ll have plenty of supplies around for your big day. Stock up enough wine bottles for the wedding and when it comes close to the big day paint them in the color that matches your theme. You can put in flowers, candles, or anything you can think of. Best of all it’ll be an easy to dispose of after the festivities.
6. Light Bulbs
When having a rustic wedding a creative look is Baby’s-Breath in light bulbs hanging from the ceiling. Get a few packs from the store. You’ll need to gently remove the cap and need plenty of strong string to hang them carefully. The Baby’s-Breath will be able to easily go into the bulb and will look gorgeous around the venue.
Nothing makes a romantic setting like candles. Practically every romantic scene in the movie has candles. Could you imagine the ending in sixteen candles without the candles? I think not. You can get plenty of them from the Dollar Store too. I mean it is not like you need the best quality to get the right feel for the evening. You probably won’t even need them after the fact.
8. String Chandelier
If you are looking for another rustic look for your wedding that will be cheap, easy, and make a great impression than this is the perfect project for you. Get a couple of packages of balloons. Blow them up to various sizes so your chandelier will have various sizes of balls. Then get some glue and string. Dip the string in the glue and the make sure it is good and coated. Wrap the glue covered string around the balloon until it is nice and covered to your liking. Once the glue is dry give the ballon a pop and pull away whatever sticks. The decoration will give your wedding day a look everyone will love.
I think one of the best parts of a wedding is what you get to take home with you. Something that you can use as a decoration and a wedding favor are plants. The kind of plants that can be used for a terrarium to be exact. The small little plants are easy to take care of so the guest don’t have to worry too much about having to keep it alive after the fact. They’ll decorate your venue beautifully all night.
10. Play With Some Wood
At your main table you need something that will bring the room together. For your centerpiece try to get creative with the wood of a fallen tree in the woods. Have someone experience with a saw cut a couple of pieces for you to use. Clean them up a bit with a sander and then use a wood burning tool to make it your own. There are lots of tedious steps involved in this one, but it will be totally worth it in the end.
