10 Celebrity Couples Who Got Together During the COVID-19 Pandemic

During the coronavirus pandemic, we have seen some of our favorite celebrity couples either reach huge milestones (such as getting engaged, married, and/or welcoming a newborn child into the world) or break up and/or divorce. In addition, the pandemic has also produced several new celebrity couples. 

Now, with all of that being said, take a look down below and check the following 10 Celebrity Couples Who Got Together During the COVID-19 Pandemic: 

1. Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly:

One of the most noticeable and new celebrity couples that got together during the COVID-19 Pandemic (amid the surprise of everyone) is Actress Megan Fox and Musician Machine Gun Kelly. The two first met on the set of the film Midnight in the Switchgrass in March 2020 in Puerto Rico. Two months later, the pair were spotted out in public together, around the same time that Brian Austin Green, Fox’s husband with whom she shares three sons, confirmed on his podcast that he and Fox are in the process of divorcing (the married couple separated in December 2019).

In May 2020, Fox and Machine Gun Kelly fueled romance rumors after the former starred in the singer’s music video for his single “Bloody Valentine”. The new couple made their romance Instagram official in late July and recently made their red carpet debut (see the photo below) at the 2020 American Music Awards in November. 

2. Nina Dobrev and Shaun White:

Although the actress and the three-time Olympic Champion Snowboarder fueled romance rumors in February 2020, they were only photographed together for the first time by paparazzi the following month (at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic shutdown).

Like most of the celebrity couples featured in this article, the pair confirmed their romance via Instagram. In late May, Dobrev posted a photo of herself holding a pair of scissors while White jokingly looked afraid. 

3. Minka Kelly and Trevor Noah:

One of the most surprising celebrity couples that got together during the coronavirus pandemic is Actress Minka Kelly and The Daily Show host Trevor Noah. Although the pair has not yet publicly confirmed their relationship, a close source told People in September, when the couple’s relationship was first reported, that, “[Kelly and Noah are] very happy… It’s a very serious relationship.”

4. Tiffany Haddish and Common:

During an appearance on Steve-O’s podcast Steve-O’s Wild Ride on July 30th, the actress and comedian confirmed that she and the rapper were an item and quarantining together during the pandemic. In the interview, she said that her relationship with Common (her first celebrity boyfriend) is “hands down the best relationship” she’s ever had.

5. Chrishell Stause and Keo Motsepe:

Out of all of the celebrity couples, one of the newest romances is that of Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause and Dancing with The Stars (DWTS) pro Keo Motsepe, who made their relationship Instagram official on December 2nd. Although the two weren’t paired with each other on the latest season of DWTS, the two became close as Gleb Savchenko, Stause’s professional dance partner, is close friends with Motsepe.

6. Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck:

Another one of the most noticeable celebrity couples who got together during the coronavirus pandemic include actors Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck. The pair first  met in the fall of 2019 on the set of the film Deep Water (the film was supposed to be released on November 13, 2020, but the pandemic caused 20th Century Studios to change its release date to August 13, 2021) and first sparked dating rumors in March when they were spotted vacationing together in de Armas’s native Cuba.

Although they didn’t make their relationship Instagram Official until April 30th (de Armas’s birthday), the two celebrities have been spotted around Los Angeles multiple times walking their dogs and showing off some sweet PDA. The pair’s relationship has gotten stronger ever since as de Armas has met Affleck’s three children that he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. In addition, media outlets have recently reported that de Armas and Affleck have moved in together.

7. Clare Crawley and Dale Moss:

During the early stages of production for Season 16 of The Bachelorette (which took place during the summer), Bachelorette Clare Crawley quickly fell head over heels in-love with suitor Dale Moss, the recipient of her First Impression Rose. The couple were so in-love with each other that Moss proposed to Crawley halfway through filming.

As a result of the pair’s whirlwind romance, Crawley was replaced by Tayshia Adams, the co-runner-up of Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, for the remainder of Season 16 of The Bachelorette. Crawley’s and Moss’s engagement aired on November 5 and the couple celebrated Thanksgiving together.

8. Christmas Abbot and Memphis Garrett:

Another one of the newest celebrity couples featured in this article includes Big Brother alums Christmas Abbot and Memphis Garrett, who only confirmed that they were an item on December 1st. Abbot, the third-place finisher on Big Brother Season 19, and Garrett, the runner-up of Big Brother Season 10, met while competing on the Big-Brother: All-Stars Season this past fall. Although neither won the All-Stars Season (Abbot came in fourth place and Garrett came in fifth place), both left the show as close friends and shortly took their friendship to the next level after the cameras stopped rolling. 

9. Ben Platt and Noah Galvin:

During an appearance Ilana Levine’s “Little Known Facts” podcast, Broadway Star Noah Galvin confirmed that he and Ben Platt were dating and quarantining together during the pandemic.

10. Kaia Gerber and Jacob Elordi:

Just like most of the other celebrity couples included in this article did, the model and actor confirmed their relationship by making things Instagram Official! On November 1st, the model (whose also the daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Berber) posted a series of photos on Instagram of her and Elordi dressed up as Elvis and Priscilla Presley for Halloween.
