10 Boredom Busters For When All Of Your Friends Are Busy

So none of your friends around and you’re bored AF. You’ve scrolled through Instagram, checked all your emails, walked around your room a couple times…but now what? Well, how about one (or all) of these boredom busters that will get your mind off of your loneliness (just breathe, your friends will be available eventually) and give you something enjoyable to do.

1. Complete a “grown-up” colouring book.

Not only is colouring super fun, but it’s also a great stress reliever. Plus, colouring gives you a chance to express your creativity, something you probably don’t do much while rushing around for school.

2. Recreate your favourite Starbucks drinks at home.

Starbucks can be so good, yet so far away, so why not spend some time trying to master their specialty drinks at home?

3. Go for a walk.

Throw on some sneakers and head outdoors. You’d be surprised just how stress-relieving a nature walk can be!

4. Go thrift shopping.

Thrift shopping is just one of those activities that is even better on your own. I mean, who really wants to argue with friends over the one-of-a-kind treasures they find?

5. Create a scrapbook.

Whether it’s composed of pictures from a family vacation or silly selfies to keep in your dorm room, a scrapbook can be a great way to create the perfect album of your favourite memories.

6. Tie Dye

Shirts, socks, pillows… You name it, you can tie dye it.

7. Paint your nails.

Everyone loves a fresh mani, even if your skills aren’t quite salon worthy.

8. Make a new music playlist.

There’s nothing as refreshing as a new music playlist. Whether your selection consists of mellow bedtime vibes or EDM party beats, your new playlist will be sure to be on repeat the next time your friends are around.

9. Do yoga.

Even if you’ve never tried it before, dive into some beginner yoga to relax not only your body, but your mind as well.

10. Plan a roadtrip

Do your research and map out some scenic locations to travel to before summer ends…or plan ahead for the next school break!
