Philadelphia is home to a huge variety of music venues. From large arenas to intimate theaters, there is something for everyone. Each venue offers something unique, from pop acts to newer indie artists. Here are the 10 best music venues in Philadelphia.

1. Union Transfer

Union Transfer is located on Spring Garden Street. The venue offers a wide variety of acts, from rock to singer-songwriter. They have three full bars on premise with a variety of beverages for sale. A government-issued ID is required to enter the show as well as your ticket.

2. Fillmore Philadelphia

The Fillmore Philly is one of Philadelphia’s newest music venues and is located in Fishtown. It hosts a wide variety of bands and has a selection of food and drinks available. Daryl Hall and John Oates were the first act to perform when it first opened.

3. World Café Live

World Café Live is one of Philly’s most popular venues and hosts some of the most famous acts from across the country and around the world. The venue is located on Walnut Street and has two performance areas.

4. Electric Factory

The Electric Factory is one of the nation’s top music venues and one of Philadelphia’s most celebrated places to see live music. It is located on 7th Street. They offer indoor shows as well as outdoor shows during the summer months. The venue also has a wide variety of food vendors.

5. Theatre of the Living Arts

The Theatre of the Living Arts, also known as the TLA, is a celebrated small concert venue that is located on South Street. It started out as a music venue and has since blossomed into a concert hall for up-and-coming artist across all genres.

6. Underground Arts

Underground Arts, located on Callowhill Street, is a venue that hosts performances from a wide variety of up-and-coming artists of all kinds, from music and comedy to poetry and theater. It hosts national and international artists as well as those from the Philadelphia area.

7. Academy of Music

The Academy of Music is known as the home of the Philadelphia Orchestra and is one of the most respected venues in the city. It is located on Broad Street and hosts a variety of performances, including orchestras, musicians, operas, Broadway shows, and musicians.

Lincoln Financial Field, the Wells Fargo Center, and Citizens Bank Park are commonly used as the sports arenas for Philadelphia’s football, hockey, and baseball teams respectfully, but they also host a variety of concerts.
