Bedside Table Essentials

We’ve all been there where it’s right before bed, or we’re just getting up in the morning, and we wish we had something next to us, but we don’t! Bedside tables are crucial, and we all have them, so let’s ensure they get their money used! It’s so convenient to roll over at night or in the morning and get what you need. These items will help you fall asleep faster or lead to a more leisurely wake-up in the morning. Also, it will prevent you from staying up more an extended period. I know that if I must get up out of bed to get something, I will probably stay up for an extra at least 10 or 15 minutes. So, avoid all of this by having everything you need on your bedside table. There’s also nothing worse than feeling like you must rush out of bed in the morning and get something from your kitchen or living space. Especially if it’s a weekend, you want to chill in bed and not ruin that vibe, so make sure you have everything on your bedside table that you’ll need either in the morning or at night. In my opinion, these are the top items you should always have by your bedside table that are the perfect way to end the night or start your morning and avoid getting up at all costs. Who wants to leave their bed in a rush, no one!

1. Glass or bottle of water

A glass or bottle of water might be the essential item on your bedside table! A glass of water or a water bottle will never go untouched, unused, or unwished. You will always want to sip water before going to bed or waking up in the morning. Water near us is perfect for those who maybe had a rough night before and died of thirst. You won’t have to get out of bed, grab a glass from the cupboard, go to your sink, fill up your glass and then walk back into bed. All those steps are immediately eliminated when you have a water bottle and a clear glass of water next to your bed. Honestly, this is life-changing because who wants to get up when they’re hungover and rush into bed to get a glass of water because they are experiencing the world’s worst cottonmouth? Having a glass of water or water bottle is crucial! It’s also good if you like to start your day off by having some water. Water is good hydration, helps your skin, and can help create more energy throughout your day, so it’s an effortless way to start your day with some water. Also, for some reason, I’m always kind of thirsty before I go to bed. I always want one more sip. So this allows me to have access to water easily without having to get up from my comfortable bed. There’s nothing worse than getting out of bed or getting a cup of water. So, save yourself the walk and trip to the kitchen and, justice, keep a glass or bottle on the bedside table.

2. Melatonin

Does anyone have those nights where they’re just staring up at their blank ceiling, and you’re begging that you’ll fall asleep in the next 5 minutes? I’m sure we’ve all been there, and for some reason, it always has to happen on those nights when you have to wake up early the next day. Avoid this at all costs or when you can. I recommend keeping your favorite brands of melatonin on your bedside table so that when you have these sleepless nights that you’re struggling and tossing and turning, you can roll over and take the melatonin. If I’m working on falling asleep for over 45 minutes and I start to get frustrated and anxious, this is just making me stay at more, so I recommend just taking the melatonin. Melatonin will help you fall asleep faster, especially when you’re just staring at the ceiling wanting to go to bed. I think it’s helpful to have melatonin on your bedside table because it can be beneficial to get you to sleep as fast as possible and not waste any time on those sleepless nights. It also eliminates having to leave your bedroom to go and get this or even get out of bed. Why would you want to leave your bed if you’re already comfortable? So I always recommend leaving your favorite brand of melatonin on your bedside table, so it’s ready for you when you want it!

3. Alarm clock

You might think, I have an iPhone that allows me to set the alarm and check the time, so why would I need an alarm clock? And let me explain this to you: sometimes, when I check my phone, I notice certain notifications, and then suddenly, I’ve been scrolling on my phone for two hours on Instagram, and I’ve lost two hours of crucial sleep. Or, At other times, the blue light can keep you up, and your phone might be a distraction for you when you sleep. So This is why I think it can be nice to have an alarm clock next to you if you want to check that I’m in the middle of the night and not get sidetracked or even use it for your alarm. It’s totally up to you. I think having one next to you will help you sleep better. Having a non-blue light way to check the time and set the alarm can be super helpful to a good night’s sleep. And it also makes your bedside table look super cute and adds some decoration to your room, so that’s always fun. I highly recommend having an alarm clock on your bedside table because it will allow you to sleep more!

4. Jewelry dish

I know I can’t be the only one, but they’ve completed their skin routine, changed into their pajamas, and blow-dried their hair. They finally get themselves toxins bad; they’ve noticed that throughout those steps, they still have managed to keep some jewelry on. I wouldn’t say I like sleeping in my jewelry, and I like to take it off before bed, so I always try to keep a jewelry dish on my bedside table. A jewelry dish makes me confident that I’m taking off my jewelry and putting it in a safe spot for the night. I like doing this because rings or earrings can easily roll off tables. So, when I’m able to place them into a jewelry dish, it makes me feel a little bit better about myself than we’re inputting my jewelry. I like to take care of my things, and I also know that they’re always going to be there in the morning when I wake up in the same spot, so I’m not frantically looking for rings that I think I’ve misplaced; they’re just always in my jewelry dish. So, I think it’s always beneficial to have a jewelry dish on your bedside table.

These are my top 4 bedside table must-haves! All of these will help lead to a better night’s sleep and prevent you from getting up in the middle of the night or getting out of bed to do anything. And my opinion, the only reason that’s good enough for me to get out of my bed once I’ve talked myself in for the night is if I must get up and use the bathroom. That is my one exception! So having these four bedside table essentials will limit the number of times, hopefully, that you have to get up and out of bed or rush out of bed in the morning, so if you don’t already have these four items, you need to go out and buy them and set up your bedside tables to have them!
