10 Beauty Procedures To Treat Yourself With

I love getting a beauty procedure done here and there to treat myself and relax. It is extremely important to give yourself some TLC, especially with finals and everything coming up. Here are ten beauty procedures I recommend to treat yourself with:

1. Eyelash Extensions

I have always had long eyelashes, but I hate putting mascara on. I think that it’s one of the worst parts of doing your makeup, it takes so much focus. While a lash lift is good, I never got the results I wanted and ended up wasting money. Enter the beauty procedure that I just got done: eyelash extensions. My favorite part about this procedure is that you get to pick the result: want volume, curl, or both? You literally can choose the type of curl you want. I haven’t had to wear mascara in weeks and the upkeep is minimal, so you have it made.

2. Eyebrow Lamination

Laminated brows are super in right now. If you’ve never heard of such a thing, check out models like Gigi Hadid, who have debuted laminated eyebrows. It is the perfect beauty procedure for those wanting to a fuller brow look, without having to do it yourself every time you do your makeup. It saves immense amounts of time, and it gives you an elevated look. It’s also perfect for those who have thinner eyebrows, so you can add some dimension to them naturally. There is no better feeling than having good eyebrows, trust me on that one.

3. Eyelash Lift and Tint

If you don’t want the commitment of eyelash extensions, but still want to spice up your lash game, this is for you. This is a shorter process than extensions, and it’s basically just like getting your hair dyed and permed, but on your eyelashes. You’ll get a nice curled look, and if you get them tinted dark enough, it’ll basically look like you have mascara on. It is a very helpful beauty procedure that you can also do yourself, as they sell kits on Amazon for half the price a salon would charge you. The best lash lift I ever got was from my friend with an Amazon kit.

4. Teeth Whitening

At my local tanning salon, they offer quick teeth whitening services. For around $40, you can get those coffee and wine stains off your teeth. I have invested so much money on whitening strips and whitening pens, finding none of them to help too much. Getting your teeth whitened by a dental professional can be expensive, but I know how much better I feel after I whiten them. It is a good way to treat yourself and make your smile sparkle, while not feeling like you’re getting a huge beauty procedure done.

5. Deep Tissue Massage

You put your body through so much stress daily, you probably don’t even realize how tight your muscles are and how many knots are in your body. Since the pandemic, we are sitting in front of our computers more than ever. This is not necessarily a beauty procedure per se, but it indeed is a treat. A deep tissue massage is extremely good for your mental and physical well-being, and you will feel so good afterwards it is worth every penny.

6. Facial

During this time period, I find myself breaking out with all of the sweat and stress that comes with the end of the school year. A facial can be the perfect beauty procedure treat for you, because they are deep cleaning your skin for you. There are facials for literally every type of problem you want to fix, and there are also full body facials (if that’s what they’re called) that moisturizes you. So, if you have blackheads, or just want to glow, or anything in between, this is the beauty procedure for you.

7. Acrylic Nail Set

Recently, fun nails have been all the rage. If you follow Kylie Jenner on Instagram, you can go on her page and get nail inspo from her highlights. Getting a fresh set of acrylics with a design or color that makes you feel good can do worlds for your confidence. I always swear by this, having my nails and eyebrows done fully affects my level of self-confidence. So, go on Pinterest and check out recent nail trends and treat yourself to one of the most common beauty procedures. It’s relatively cheap compared to other procedures you would get done, and it just feels so good.

8. Keratin Treatment

After going back to black hair from bleached blonde, you can imagine how broken my hair was. My hair dresser recommended I get a Keratin treatment to strengthen the bonds in my hair. It also really makes styling your hair with heat so much easier. Although a little expensive, it really works and is helping your hair without you having to do anything but sit there and let the magic happen. I believe it is one of the most underrated beauty procedures out there, and it controls frizz, so it cannot get much better.

9. Highlights/Color

Speaking of hair, while you’re getting your Keratin that I recommended, you may as well add some new color to your hair. Adding in highlights, lowlights, or just dying your hair a fully different color can switch up your look in a subtle or not so subtle way. I added burgundy red tones to my hair because I was bored of just one color, and it truly satisfied my hair dye craving without doing anything drastic. It’s a beauty procedure you probably are reading and are like duh, but getting a haircut and some color always feels amazing.

10. Spray Tan

If you have somewhere to be where you want to look fresh out of the sun, get a spray tan. You can pick the level of tan you want to be, so it doesn’t have to be Snooki level, but it can be natural looking. I always feel better once I am tan, and I also look better in some colors when tan. What I’m saying is, being tan feels great and if you want to feel like that, but don’t want to go in the beds and don’t have enough time to develop one over time, this is your beauty procedure.

I personally love all of these beauty procedures and like to treat myself with them every now and then. Let me know your favorite beauty procedure in the comments below!
