Amazing Fall Recipes You Need To Try

Making delicious recipes for the fall is so much fun and the results can be absolutely delicious! That’s why I’ve put together some amazing fall recipes you need to try.

We’ll start with a delicious and crispy appetizer and a warm chili soup, then to a tasty dinner casserole! To finish up we’ll look at a wonderful dessert recipe from Taste of Home, and then to a recipe for BA’s Best Hot Chocolate. Enjoy!  

Butternut Squash Fritters

First up on our list of delicious fall recipes are some crispy butternut squash fritters! This recipe is perfect for a nice fall appetizer if you’re making dinner for your family and/or friends. It also would be great as a tasty little snack! Here’s what you’ll need for about 6 servings:

  • 1 Butternut Squash (about 3 pounds, peeled and shredded)
  • 1/3 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 Large Eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 Tsp Dried Thyme
  • 1/4 Tsp Dried Sage
  • Pinch of Nutmeg
  • Kosher Salt & Freshly Ground Pepper (to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil

The Best Healthy Turkey Chili

Next up we have some healthy and hearty turkey chili soup. If you don’t really like turkey, the recipe says you can use chicken instead! This soup will warm you right up on a chilly fall day. Here’s what you’ll need for about 6 servings: 

  • 2 Tsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Yellow Onion (chopped)
  • 3 Garlic Cloves (minced)
  • 1 Medium Red Bell Pepper (chopped)
  • 1 Pound Extra Lean Ground Turkey or Chicken (99%)
  • 4 Tbsp Chili Powder (this recipe used McCormick chili powder)
  • 2 Tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 Tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1/4 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt (plus more to taste)
  • 1 (28-ounce) Can Diced Tomatoes or Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1, 1/4 Cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 (15-ounce) Cans Dark Red Kidney Beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 (15-ounce) Cans Sweet Corn (rinsed and drained)
  • Optional Topping: Cheese, Avocado, Tortilla Chips, Cilantro, Sour Cream

Harvest Chicken Casserole

This next dish is perfect for a family meal and/or dinner with friends. It would also be great to save and eat throughout the week! All the ingredients will remind you of fall as you enjoy this wonderful casserole. Here’s what you’ll need for about 6-8 servings:

  • 2 Tbsp Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (plus more for baking dish)
  • 2 Pounds Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • Kosher Salt
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Onion (chopped)
  • 2 Medium Sweet Potatoes (peeled and cut into small cubes)
  • 1 Pound Brussel Sprouts (trimmed and quartered)
  • 1 Tsp Dried Thyme
  • 1/2 Tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 Cup Swanson Chicken Broth
  • 6 Cups Cooked Wild Rice
  • 1/2 Cup Dried Cranberries
  • 1/2 Cup Sliced Almonds

Pumpkin Pie Pudding

Now for dessert! This creamy dessert is just like a pumpkin pie without the crust! Here’s what you’ll need for about 6 servings:

Finally we have a tasty recipe for some of the best hot chocolate you can make! There’s really nothing better then a nice cup of hot coco to warm you up on any fall day. Here’s what you’ll need for about 4 servings:

  • 3 Tbsp Cocoa Powder (preferably Dutch-processed, plus more for serving)
  • 3 Cups Whole Milk
  • 6 Ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate (preferably Scharffen Berger, finely chopped)
  • 3 Tbsp Demerara or Granulated Sugar
  • Optional: Lightly Sweetened Whipped Cream (for serving)
