Albums That Should Be Your Summer Soundtrack

Getting ready for the California summer heat means that you need to find yourself a great summer soundtrack to get into over the long hot days. Having a great playlist of songs and albums can keep up your spirits, even when it may be over 100 degrees outside, and keep you having fun all summer long. So, here are a few suggestions for albums that you should be on your summer soundtrack this year.

Steady Glow by In Her Own Words

Pop-punk songs seem to be made for summertime, so it’s no surprise that this pop-punk album will get you in the summer mood. Released this year, 2019, this new pop-punk album is one that you must have as part of your summer soundtrack. The mix of melodic vocals and funky guitar rhythms will have you ready to sip rosé  by the ocean (track #5 on their album) and head out to music festivals and concerts until the fall. Singles like “Right Now” and “Disaster Case” are great summer songs that you can put on reply. If you are looking for something more on the softer side, then “Steady Glow” and “Wonder” will be your go-to’s. Honestly, whatever track you choose, you can’t go wrong.

Crown Shyness By Trash Boat

This album that was originally released in July of 2018, but will still amp up the attitude of your summer soundtrack this year with its punk rock beats and hardcore inspired breakdowns. This part-aggressive-part-soft album will hit all the points on your summer soundtrack checklist. The tracks titled, “Don’t Open Your Eyes” and “Nothing New,” will have you up and moving, while harder hitting songs like “Shade” and “Controlled Burn” will make you want to mosh in the pit. This album has a bit of everything to get your summer soundtrack ready for the long summer days and sticky summer nights, and is a perfect addition as the backdrop of your summer.

So What? By While She Sleeps

This high energy melodic metal album is sure to have you ready for a summer concert in no time! Your summer soundtrack should also have a few hard hitters on there and this album delivers on that promise. The tracks “The Guilty Party” and “Anti-Social” both have intense drum beats and fast paced guitar work and they will have you head banging your way through the hot months and loving every second of it. This album will get you ready for the summer music festival circuit and the summer beer festivals for sure! Plus, this band plays at a lot of the big summer festivals each year, so you have a good chance of seeing them live too!

Amo By Bring Me The Horizon

This album brought Bring Me The Horizon to pop radio, but don’t let their change in sound fool you, they still got it. Add this album to your summer soundtrack and singles like “Medicine” and “Wonderful Life” will have you ready to lay out by the beach, then dance the night away during the warm summer nights. This pop album is filled with electronic fills, but still has lots of guitar work, and of course, the signature vocals from Oli Sykes. What else could you need?

Whatever you want your summer to be like, this summer soundtrack is sure to give you the energy and positive lift you need to fit everything you want to do in your busy schedule.
