Advice for Hooking Up with More Than One Guy on Campus

College has begun, classes are in full swing, and suddenly you’ve found yourself attracted to not one, but two different people. How can you possibly add that into your already busy life? Don’t worry though, you can do this! Embrace your adventurous college side and have some fun! Here are a few guidelines to help you along the way when you’re hooking up with more than one guy on campus.

1. Be transparent!

You do not have to be committed to one person right now. Have fun, meet people, go on dates, just hang out – whatever you want! Just be sure that the people you’re involving yourself with are cool with that too. You don’t have to divulge all the juicy details of the last time you spent with the other person you’re hooking up with; just make sure all parties involved know you’re not looking for anything serious right now.

2. Avoid similar groups.

I would emphasize that it might be best to avoid twins, or best friends, or something of the like if you want to keep these hookups as drama free as possible. Constantly being in the same circles and seeing the both guys together is recipe for disaster. No one wants to get between two friends and keeping your hookups separate makes it easier to have new adventures!  Spending time with different guys can open you up to new things you never knew you were interested in before!

3. Differentiate the time spent with each person.

As much fun as hooking up with more than one person is; you don’t want to exhaust yourself trying to fit multiple people into one day! Don’t hop from hanging out with guy to the next – give each person their own separate time (ideally on different days). This will allow you to get to know each one better, and not just think of them as the same person. This will also alleviate stress of trying to “fit them into your schedule.” Make time for them when it works for you – you’re not obligated to hang out with them every day, or even for equal amounts of time. Also, don’t forget to make time for yourself!

4. Don’t lie!

Going hand-in-hand with being transparent, don’t pretend that you’re only hooking up with one person. This doesn’t mean you have to disclose all the personal details of your other partners; it’s your business after all! You’re in college, this is the perfect time to explore all your options and see what suits your fancy. So if one of your hookups asks if they are your one and only, tell the truth. There’s no shame in having a good casual time.

5. Expect the same from them.

If you’re not going to commit, you can’t expect them to either. While your enjoying this freedom, they should too! Whether they decide to see other people is up to them, but don’t be afraid to have that conversation if necessary. And, if you’re not ready to see one of your babe’s with someone else, maybe it’s time to reconsider a few things.
