Sunday Funday is something that should always be taken seriously, but when you’re in college brunching on a budget is even more important. Here are five of the best NYC brunch places in New York, specifically for college students on a budget.
Located in the East Village, Poco is a small restaurant that offers Spanish inspired organic food. It is a hot spot for college students because it is a great place for large groups and sometimes tends to get a little wild! Their legendary Boozy Brunch includes an entrée, with bottomless mimosas, bloody marys and sangria all for $30. Reservations are strongly recommended, since this deal is only available Friday through Sunday from 11-5.
Three of Cups is an Italian restaurant located in the East Village, and is great for those who love boozy brunches, since brunch comes with two mimosas or bloody marys for $16.95. For an additional $8, Three of Cups allows for unlimited bloody marys and mimosas for two hours! This hotspot specializes in brunch parties, which perfect for a large group of college students wanting to relax before classes on Monday.
Located in Astoria, DiWine is a hip restaurant and wine bar. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 3 with a live jazz band. DiWine is very lowkey, and budget friendly; a coffee plus one cocktail is included with each entrée. For an extra $14 you can also get bottomless booze.
Jacob’s Pickles, located on the Upper West Side, is known for its beer, biscuits and pickles. The southern style dishes are very well executed without being too out there, plus the menu has plenty of different food options to keep everyone happy. Reservations are recommended, but it’s important to note that six people are needed to reserve tables for brunch.
The Dutch is a traditional American eatery in SoHo. The dishes are affordable, as well as the drinks. The Dutch also has a private room, with 18 seats and its own bar, the perfect spot for your next brunch party!
