Which Fictional Heartthrob Matches Your Zodiac Sign?

For the best heartthrobs, search your favourite books, your unwatched Netflix shows, and the most romantic movies you can find. Or take a look at this list to see the best of the best, matched to your zodiac sign!

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Who doesn’t love a bad boy? You sure do, and there are few as ‘bad’ as Hardin Scott from After (2019).

This heartthrob has been through a lot; a terrible childhood and a fluid relationship with his mother. Although there are few things that are right in his life, he can write.

For more on Hardin read After by Anna Todd, watch the new film adaptation, or listen to some of the inspiration for the book, Harry Styles’ music.

Break up with your boyfriend, he’s bored.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

As a hardworking and ambitious individual, your choice in a partner should reflect these values. Look no further than Nate Archibald, the lovable, privileged Upper East-Sider from Gossip Girl (2007 – 2012). Nate may be a bit of a ditz (sleeping with his girlfriend’s best friend), but he has a heart of gold. Although this Golden Boy largely gets everything handed to him early on, he later has to rely on his street smarts to get a college education and climb the ladder to his place as head of The Spectator and possible Mayor of New York.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

As a kind individual, the person you share your life with should have the same qualities. Or at least, the person you wish you could share your life with should. Doctor Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds, 2005) is the smartest man in the Behavioural Analysis Unit with an IQ of 187 and three PhDs! Although his life isn’t without its bad luck—getting framed for murder and losing his girlfriend to a serial killer are what I would call bad luck—he has a heart of gold, and a strong group of co-workers behind him.

Cancer (July 21 – June 22)

With a protective disposition, you’re a loyal ally and your intuitive ways guarantee the smarts to survive. These traits are particularly important for the Hunger Games, when 24 children are confined to an arena to fight to the death. For all that fighting, you need an important ally—look no further than Peeta Mellark from The Hunger Games (2012). Peeta is loyal, gentle, and sweet. He cares for Katniss when she is poor and hungry, and is willing to sacrifice himself so that she can be the winner of the Games.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

For a dramatic and egotistic partner, you need to be with the sassiest solver in Rosewood. Hanna Marin (Pretty Little Liars, 2010-2017) is moody, loyal, and caring. Although she struggles with an eating disorder early on, she takes back control of her life and dominates the school with her best friend Mona, until ‘A’ starts sending Hanna and her old friend’s creepy messages. Throughout the series, Hanna remains fearless, self-sacrificing, and caring.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

As an analytical and confident person, your smarts and caring ways would only be suited to Augustus Waters (The Fault in Our Stars, 2014- ). Gus is friendly and charming, handsome and aloof, he is also seriously afflicted by a debilitating disease. These terrible circumstances do not stop Gus from committing to a life-changing adventure with Hazel, to visit Hazel’s favourite author. This tear-jerking movie will touch your heart, but it’s Hazel and Gus’ love that will leave you breathless.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

They say opposites attract, and as a fair and social charmer, your partner may lack these qualities. Unlike you, this heartthrob is moody, dark, and mysterious. He’s also cold, very cold. His name is Edward Cullen, and he has a secret. The secret is that he could apply for a senior citizens’ card even though he looks 17 years old. The good news is that he can run like a gazelle and has more money than you’ll know what to do with. The bad news is that he’s ice cold and watches you when you sleep.  Creepy, unless you’re into that. No judgement intended.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 22)

You attract passionate, brave, and protective individuals, and few come more passionate than Romeo Montague of Romeo and Juliet (1594). Although this heartthrob struggles with his family and has wayward friends that curse him before they die, he will love you with all his heart—to a fault. That fault is ultimately sending himself to his death at the sight of your apparent corpse.

I never said he was smart.

Sagittarius (November 23 – December 21)

To keep you laughing until the end of time, look for an individual who has as good a sense of humour as you do. Andy Dwyer (Parks and Recreation, 2009-2015) is a funny ditz with a ton of love in his heart.

While he can be uncontrollable and dim-witted, Andy is also incredibly loyal to his friends, loved ones, and co-workers.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

As a serious and independent individual, you’re exactly like Elizabeth Bennet of Pride and Prejudice (novel: 1813 and film: 2005). As Elizabeth Bennet remains loyal to her sisters and family, she struggles with her love for Mr. Darcy. It doesn’t help that Darcy is an impolite man who belittles her and her family at every opportunity. Their first one-on-one encounter leaves Darcy struck, and he spends the rest of the movie (and novel) devoting his feelings to Elizabeth, making him the heartthrob we love today.

Aquarius (December 22 – January 19)

As an imaginative individual, you may want to consider a job in writing. Then again, if the written word isn’t for you, date a writer instead.

Jess Mariano (Gilmore Girls, 2000–2007) may be a bad boy with tendencies to flee in search of his father, to tell you he loves you and then flee, and to turn up at the most inconvenient times sparking a fight with your current boyfriend, but he is a writer. Jess is a lost soul looking for a place to land, whether that’s in Luke’s Diner, New York or Philadelphia. He’s a romantic with lingering feelings and he’s always supportive of your goals.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

For your sensitive heart, choose a heartthrob who will look after it. Seth Cohen (The O.C., 2003-2007) is a slightly nerdy, very funny teenager with dreams of attending Brown University. He loves comic books, his best friend Ryan, and his (eventual) wife Summer. He is extremely sarcastic, which goes perfectly with your wise wit and affectionate spirit.

Don’t be fooled, Seth has a heart of gold!
