The Best Meat Free Burger Brands

According to Burger Web, 60% of all sandwiches sold are burgers and with summer and BBQ season here it’s no surprise that sales and popularity are rising. However, if you’re choosing to live a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle what can you do to get your burger fix? Well luckily there is a range of meat-free burger brands and we’re finding them and trying them so you don’t have to.

The Meatless Farm Meat Free Burger

The Meatless Farm are a British company that works to help people reduce their meat consumption by creating plant-based alternatives. Their burger is made from soya, pea and rice proteins and has great taste and texture. By making the change to just these burgers once you can reduce the amount of water similar to a long shower and your carbon footprint equivalent to a long drive.

At Beyond Meat their mission is to create the future of protein from plant-based ingredients. Similarly, to the Meatless Farm burger the Beyond Meat is made from pea protein and is gluten-free, however, is also soy-free. It’s important to add that Beyond Meat was the world’s first plant-based burger and is widely known to be particularly popular. The only downside is that it does price at an expensive £5.50.

Sainsbury’s Vegetable Quarter Pounders

While so far we have looked at plant-based burgers that aim to be alternatives with the same taste and texture of beef or pork patties, there are also many different types.
